hey man just be positive these are the best cars on the road before i got my 99 i had a 98 and it was perfect till it reached 130k miles then i sold it for a diff color one not that i was sick of it.

i want to remove my cats and replace it with an aftermarket header and down pipe and also o2 sims. i was wondering do the o2 sims completely replace the o2 sensor or go in between them and the header?? thanx in advance

hey smooth one i got 2 99 gs 300's and they both smell like gasoline when you start them off so im guessing i should take out and clean them in both vehicles and can i just buy electronics parts cleaner at my local auto zone or pep boys?? thanks

Hey NY, those lights are no good i had them on my 98 it did the same thing twice and to be honest with you that is a fire hazard. u are better off spending 80 dollars for a hid kit and 20 bucks shipping i did that and they have lasted me 2 years so far and they work perfect. jsut go on ebay type in hid conversion kit and look at the 9006 bulbs becasue thats what our cars have. throw those away man theyre no good

i replaced both front bearings in my gs at 100k miles and it was perfect but then it started making the same noise again after a couple of weeks, i actually did not purchase new oil seals for it do u guys think this can have anything to do with it that the oil seals are old and water got in there?? any have that has changed theirs also chan ged their seals please let me know. thanx in advance

i have a 99 gs 300 would it be possible to put universal cats instead of having to pay an arm and a leg for them at the dealer and if they do work does anyone have any idea what size they are? thanx in advance

the hid conversion kit is just a light bulb and a ballast everything is plug and play it is very simple to install when it does arrive and you open it you will be surpriused at how easy it is to install....

you are better off just re wraping your original seats this would probably be cheaper and they will look brand new instead of buying used seats of a junkyard for probably more money

basically all it is you take out the original bulb and you replace it with the hid bulb then there is a wire that connects to the ballast that comes with the kit, after that the original wire that connected to the original bulb now connects to the ballast system also, and there should not be a problem with projectors as long as its a 9006 or 9005 and as long as the hid bulbs are matching you should be fine. and i dont suggest you put an hid system on the daytime running lights but you can add a set to the fog lights in the yellow color that looks real sweet. good luck to ya

yea but does it idle at 1600-1700 rpm thats the question and does it do it everytime u leave the car off for a couple of hours?

ebay is the best way to go i bought them for my 99 gs300 cost me about 150 they have been on there for 2 years and work perfect i got the 8000k 9006's and they work perfect.

i have a 99 gs 300 and nobody can figure out what is wrong with it. it idles at about 1600-1700 rpm for about 5 minutes or until the engine is completely warm, i have owner 2 other gs's one 98 and another 99 and neither of them idled this high on a start. even if the vehicle has been sitting for only a couple of hours it will idle that high. im all out of options even the dealer cannot figure anything out or maybe they dont want to bother, please help if anyone has any suggestions? thank you

did any of your guys cars have this symptom. the car idles at like 1600 rpm when starting it when the motor is cold and this lasts for a few minutes, thanx in advance

would a bad o2sensor have anything to do with the car idling really high in the morning to warm up the cats????

in the front u cannot have anything at all but there is no fine involved u just have to go there and show them u took em off, whatever you do though make sure you put the same number all around or it will not look right

its at the end of the block next to the firewall behind the throttle body it is a blue color if it is original jsut remove the whole thing and use pliers to take the clamp off

Dont know would this help, but have you tried resetting the ecu (disconnecting negative terminal) ? yes i disconnected the negative battery terminal for a few minutes but nothing changed

hmm thats a good question to ponder but what in the hell is wrong with it its getting really bad lately 2 if the car doesnt start for an hour it will do it and about a month ago u had to leave it overnight to show these symptoms wow i have never had a problem with these cars i have owned 3 of them for the past 3 years but this is aggravating me and i am losing the liking i have to the car
