  1. I had seen one in a black GS 300 probably a 2000 or 2001..I was in the lexus dealership and i had spotted it being pulled into the back. I'm pretty sure that it was custom work tho..Looked F****** Sweet. i was thinking about getting some custom interior myself. sry no pic tho
  2. hey everyone, if you go to www.lextasy.com you can get brand new sticker covers for the airbag warning labels. they give you the option to choose the background color and the font color for your stickers which come imprinted with "lextasy" on them. this site has parts and accessories for all of the lexus models new and old. so check it out..the site is great and they are a great investment. i had purchased them for my 2000 gs 300 and love them. perfect fit and they look great..and no more ugly airbag warning decals. (as a side note they also sell the same sticker covers for the mirrors on the visors which also look great. the site is very reputable and they have great customer service if any problems arise. check it out and good luck. B)
  3. i was looking into getting an auto-start system for my 2000 GS 300, i have some few questions, and would love some helpful advice. 1) Does an auto-start system damage the car (engine, tranny, electrical...etc)? 2) What would be a good brand to purchase? Thanks, NY LEX B)
  4. GO FOR THE SERVICE FROM THE DEALERSHIP !!!!!! I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2000 GS 300. VIBRATION, SHIMMYING STEERING WHEEL, THE WHOLE NINE YARDS. I SERVICED IT AT THE DEALERSHIP, AND BANG PROBLEM SOLVED. SOMETIMES IT'S JUST WORTH THE MONEY. FOR WE CARE ABOUT OUR CARS SO VERY MUCH.
  5. I have a 2000 GS 300...I'm looking perhaps after the holidays to re-do my interior speakers and also purchase and in dash (not flip out) unit to replace my factory radio. i have already purchased a portable navigation system and it works great (garmin). i do not necessarily need a unit with navigation but if it comes with it and it is a separate slot for the navigation disc then i will gladly give up my portable unit. Any input would be greatly appreciated...thanks.
  6. Hey, sorry for taking so long. Go to www.lextasy.com Click on the 98-05 Gs tab on the left. then click lighting. The lights are the same ones that u can use for the interior lights on the roof in the back, the side markers, or those little bulbs that are in the high beam sockets that go on at night when your head lights are on. http://www.lextasy.com/gs300_led_door_light_1373_prd1.htm There is the link for the door lights..they all use the same bulbs. i had put the white ones in my car and they look great. they are just not as bright as the new lexus models.
  7. congrats...nice to see all the hard work and dedication pays off...
  8. 9007? i thought our cars used 9006? do u just have the low beams, or do u have all around HID'S? i notice that alot of people just buy the low-beams and the fog lights and use the crappy xenon bulbs for the occasional high beam usage...is that a good idea or should i buy the HID kits for the low and high beams along with the foglights???
  9. one more question....i plan on ordering the HID lowbeam headlights and the HID fog lights...should i get a kit for my high beams? i know that the HID'S are really bright and i probably wont need the high beams but then what would i put in those sockets. i am a big fan of the all around matching and "complete" look... what do u guys think?
  10. thanks alot..i will definately go with the HID's..i'm thinking about the 8000k bluish white or the 6000k pure white. i have a black on black gs. i installed the clear side markers with the white bulbs in there, i also had changed my license plate lights to the white as well (like on the newer model lexus).. what do u guys think?
  11. thanks a lot man i appreciate the time and money that i will save...I'm probably going to get the white HID kit soon for my headlights and foglights. any specific brand that is recommended?
  12. I have a 2000 GS 300. I had ordered the hyper white low beam headlamps, the hyper white high beam lamps, and the hyper white fog lights from lextasy.com. After some time of use the lights had burnt my low beam headlamps and my fog lights sockets. I'm talking about black burnt and cracked. I had talked to the representative at lextasy and she had said in the ten years of selling those lights that has never happened before. i had to get the whole plug sockets replaced, and the dealership said it was because those aftermarket lights burn too hot for the car. i had similar lights on my previous car which was a lincoln, and that had never happened. the worst it was on that car was a blown bulb. i had gotten these lights for temporary use until i could get the money to HID my head lights and fog lights. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN ANSWER TO THIS? should I get other lights or just use the stock lights until i get my HID's? Thanks :cries:
  13. 99blkgs...i own a 2000 GS 300.. As of about two weeks ago i had noticed that on start-up my car was idling at around 1500 rpm until it was warmed also. my car is going in for its 60,000 mile overhaul tuneup (according to lexus) i plan on mentioning this problem to them along with some other "issues" with the car. when i hear back from them i will let u know what they say...if you find anything out please let me know....good luck...
  14. yea i will...did u remove all of those clips that were in the inside top of the trunk?
