yo smooth here's the crack picture.... and yes yes i know it's dirty as sin.... but ran into a gnat shower last night... and i half !Removed! wiped them off...and i haven't had a chance to do it right yet... :P ....you can hardly even see the crack in person unless you get right up on it... but for some reason this picture makes it look worse than it is.... i just figured i'd try to fix where it wouldn't crack anymore

hey i looked at your pics of your box you made and read a couple how tos and i think i got a good idea... i just had a couple of questions..... did you put something on the plastic trunk piece you used for a mold so it didn't stick to it? and also you fiberglassed up and over the particle board from the cylinder right? and how thick does it have to be?

first off i have a 10" kicker L7 in my other car... and i don't really want to put it in the IS because it requires such a big box... and i don't want the extra weight and it's pretty much all loud and no quality.... i'm looking for something that i can hear as far as bass goes to pick up where the stock 6x9s fail.... i don't want to shake my car apart... just want a full spectrum of sound that isn't gonna take up my whole trunk.... has anyone tried the infinity basslink or something similar? or will just replacing the stock 6x9s make the difference i'm looking for?

2 questions...... 1) i can't figure out what will clean the hard plastic part of the dash.... armorall sp? works on some of the dash, but the other part everything i've tried smears.... it's very frustrating.... any ideas? 2) is there a trick to cleaning around the lugnuts when you're cleaning the wheels? ...while i'm at it.... i also have a crack in my bumper right in the inside corner under my headlight that was there when i bought it.... and i want to prevent it from cracking more..... some kind of glue i can use? thanks!

wow.... i wish i had a background in mechanics, but instead my dad has a cabinet shop... too bad i can't make a turbo out of wood eh? hmmmm....good point!!! so what can i get for a little extra hp that won't be replaced by a turbo kit....and maybe i can start there and that way i haven't wasting any money.... and it'll leave the turbo idea open down the line... right now i've got 3 things i'm gonna do which include painting my calipers w/ the lexus stickers, getting the clear front/rear side markers, and drop it an inch!!! now after that im gonna start the go fast stuff! :D how hard is it to put springs on? matt

lol i don't even know it just strayed up... it's still a puppy going through teething i guess ...little bitty dog doesn't even seem capable of doing such a task.... what do you know about the srt intake system.... good? is there one better?

i absolutely love the way the stock rims look especially the smoked ones... the only way i could see myself getting new wheels is if something happened to one of the ones i have..... like i don't know my dog using one of them as a chew toy.... which btw has happened already and that one is now my spare and the garage door opener has been fixed... but that's a different story....so all i have left is the four i got on the car... :( and trying to find a smoked rim is not easy.... i don't know maybe one day i'll want a wheel that's not so heavy.... how much lighter are the aftermarket wheels?

thanks for the info!!! i had another question too... i want to lower my car like an inch or so.... and i did this to a car i had a few years back and the springs ended up busting one of my shocks.... is that gonna be a problem on the IS.... do i need to replace both the spring and shock? or can i just get the springs? or are coilovers the only way to go? what brands would you recommend? matt
