i had the same thing i spent 1300C$ to change the water pump & the thermostat. 2month later i had the same problem, i changed the Radiator 800C$. its been almoust a year now that the car is fine. I Hop its not that the case with u, but its a bad sign when the motor overheats. good luck

thx for the reply guys, i went to the garage and the problem was when its humid outside the humidity goes into the spark plugs wires so i have to change them and change my spark plugs. the car is ok now, we had a crazy rainy week here in Montreal so i think that was the problem cause now the car is normal again.

no problem i have more PDF files on the sc400 that i found searching the net. One day i will post them all "when i have time"

thanks fo the reply, but the shaking that the car is making is not normal, it sounds like its gonna shut off then it comes back normal till its warm then its ok after. But it only dose that when i dont drive it for a day or 2 or its cold outside. but this happens only on the first 2-3mins when im warming up the car.

Sup guys, i have a lil problem with my car, when i start my car and its cold outside the car shakes and the gas/rpm goes up and down then when its warm everything becomes normal, i spoke to one of my friends and he told me it could be the spark plugs is that true?. and when the car is cold and shaking there is this peace right in back of the pulley (i pointed it out on the attched pic) that shakes a bit when the car is cold. let me know if u have any comments. :(

Call T.A.P. Recycling, Toll Free 1-800-765-7100 -- Local 916-631-7100 there 125$ for the kit now. so try to order it from there and install it at a good garage place near u.

Sup guys, I have a lil problem with the tilt steering. My steering wheel dosent go all the way down its stuck all the way up, its goes in and out up and down half way, clould it be the electric motor or the button/control stick, did anybody got this problem b4?

Where should i check, is it a fuse or a switch or what? Is it a known problem in the sc400s ? Do u guys know anything about the hot air i feel coming on my feet when im driving? is it something in the heating system? or bigger then that?

My car was doing the same thing 3month ago it was the "water pump" i changed it plus i changed the thermostat and now im having the same problem again but not as bad only on trafic and if i leave it on not driving, as soon as i hit the road it cools down. Anybody knows whats up with the overheating? Could it be the Head Gasket ? Plus im getting hot air coming out from the driver and passenger side on our feet, Dose this has anything to do with my problem? Thx Moe/Montreal

Hi guys i heard that there is a product or a paint that we could buy to spray on the seats (Leather) and they become as new no Crack no Wrinkles. Any info on your side>? or any body knows the name of this product>? Hint: i heard this from a body shop guy that told me he could do my seats for 100$ a seat and it will look as new as it came out of the show room.

i know they are flashy but there is nothing wrong with that, 20"s would be sick but u need more $$ to spend, i got 18's for now and i will spend more $$ on the body kit, DVD player and the stereo :) i wil have to wait tell summer to slam my Rims on the car (Montreal winter sucks) lol thanks guys and keep the comments coming :)

Hi guys i just got new mags for my sc400 it's Lexani mags 18" Chrome here is a pic attached, tell me what you guys think and tell me if there good mags or not feel free to say what u wanna say. P.S i found lots of parts for sc400's here is canada (used parts) so let me know if u guys need anything i can hook it up for a good price and on top of all that you can pay Canadian $ so it will coste you guys way less. i just got seats for my car the 2 front ones 200$ in very good coundation and the back seat for 100$ Canadian clean. and i got a shifter nob 20$ lol door arm rest 50$ sick prices. So if u need something let me know i will look it up for you guys if there is anybody in Montreal/Canada i know how hard it is to find parts for this car so that why im offering my help. i went to lexus 2day and they told me it's the Water Pump, it's 150 for the part and 4-5 hours work there goes another 600-700 $ i will get my car back monday night so thats it i guess...

Hi first i would like to thank all you guys for taking the time and trying to help me out. The problem was they did not well bled the cooling system to rule out the air pockets, when they changed the coolant reservoir/expansion tank. I did not go to a Lexus dealer cause it was far away from me and my car was over heating big time so i was driving for 2mins and giving it a break 10mins to cool down over and over... and i just pulled up at the nearest garage, i know that a Lexus dealer would never give me this problem, now some guys were asking why did it cost 700$ it was 402 $CND for the coolant reservoir/expansion tank (order form Lexus) 105 $CND for the sensor (order form Lexus) 32$ for Coolant 60$ labour My coolant reservoir/expansion tank was cracked so it was leaking coolant and the sensor wires on the reservoir was damaged. they changed my Thermostat for nothing it was there bad so i didn't pay for it. i just got my car back after 3days at the shop. it toke 2days to order the parts from lexus. So from now on if i need any parts for my car i m gonna order them from the U.S. Canadian Lexus dealer are just blood suckers down here and there isn't much sc400s around here in Montreal well not as much as the U.S. thanks again guys Moe/Montreal/Canada

now the changed my coolant reservoir/expansion tank it payed 700$ for that and i still have the same problem 15mins after i left the garage, i went back and gived them sh*t, and they are telling me now its the THERMOSTAT i dont know how long they gonna play games on me, anybody got a clue???????????????????? :chairshot:
