  1. Actually that's not altogether true. And I just figured out why yours isn't making any clanging noises. Your running the single disc tc. They also have a multi disc tc which I think is the IS 300 and Supra application. The SC 400 may use the single disc. But then the SC 300 would use the multi also.
  2. Just a few more cause I'm bored: Port of Miami: The Post card shot: Nevermind people pay to ride in this, But that they can ask for money without laughing is amazing!: What a great back yard!: Gloria Estefans house: Not sure who's house this is: Man those boats are huge!:
  3. Heres a few more fa ya'll: The Financial district: This is the building she lives in from the water: And these are the shots from the window of the apartment: If you look in the top right hand corner of the first pic here, that's where we took the shots of the building from the water near that bridge. . Look at my little itty bitty IS 350:
  4. Heres a few Miami boat shots we took: Here is where Scarface lived: Look at the size of that ship!: This house just sold for 19 million! Wil Smiths house: The inventor of Viagra Peter Dunn's house:
  5. Give headlock :)
  6. When I first got my 2005 IS 300 I watched a child about 8 years old with autism swing the door out wide ding my driver door deep!!! I was furious,(inside), but what do you say or do in that scenario?? Atleast they offered and did pay for the ding removal. And yeah, they did an amazing job. I was so releaved when I saw the after. I tipped him 20 bucks on top of it. And then the next week brought my wifes car in and he removed all those, the car looked brand new again!! I have a theory to "safer parking at the store". It's just an observation, but if most of us were to compare where again, most of our dings were, it's the driver and driverside passenger doors, and the passenger side passenger door. Most drivers own thier car( or make big payments to a bank that let's you drive it), and if they dinged your car, well, they would be denting thier own car as well, and I think most people don't try and do that. I don't care how bad a shape their car is already in. I think it's mostly kids. So, I allways try to park next to a van with sliding open doors, on the end of an isle, and favor the end to give a bit more room, or next to an even more expensive car. Haha! And of course far enouph out not to be contended with. And I have quick question, if you park far enouph out in the middle of BFE, does it become ok to take two parking stalls? I allways want to but never do. I was just wondering. Oh, and the safest way to park is to take our 98 NIssan Sentra, we call it the "Road Warrior," It never gets washed, and allways goes to the grocery store and anywhere I'm not comfortable taking the Lexus to. It's great, it even looks like it doesn't have insurance, so everyone stays away from it!!
  7. I guess it's a love it or hate it on the Dragon tc, just like on most other things. But even as you pointed out, you can have your stock tc or even buy a locked stock tc for half the price. You're not getting any clanging noise in neutral? But I know you Jibby, if you say it's a good tc, then it's a good tc. I just have a freind with a 2003 IS 300 and he has the Dragon tc on it. When he starts the car you can hear it.
  8. Oh good one DC!! B) algebra

  11. Me Too!!!! Jacuzzi Ha! What a conincidence... We stayed at The Savoy at Ocean and 5th, we were right on the beach, it was awesome! Got my tan, but am peeling a bit unfortunately. Presidential--------->Rolex My mother in law owns a condo on the 18th floor there. (Lucky me!!!) Anyway, we go down there to spend time with her and I do the "fixin" around the apartment for her. She even owns a boat, so we took her out in it and cruised the intercoastal waterways all day. I have pictures we took of the "Scarface" house, Will Smith's house, Shaquille O'neil, Oprah's, and on and on. Should I post em? Rolex--->Movado
  12. Me Too!!!! Jacuzzi
  13. Probably zero, just like all the other air intakes for the 2IS Well, you might see 3-5 hp from the smoother tube, but you'd see the same from the Joe Z intake for $200-300 less money Very true. And yeah, the Joe Z is the way better option here.
  14. Don't waste your money and time. the Dragon tc makes a bunch of noise your not going to be happy with. You would be way better off sending your stock tc in and having it modified. Or just buying a locked stock tc. You can find them set up for a 3k stall speed and locked for around 4-500 bucks.
  15. You have to take into consideration a variety of different conditions. Maybe the the grip was better, or they were at a lower altitude, and the weather was cooler, and the driver weighed less, and they had less gas in the car, and they had a car that was broken in better and the motor produced slightly better acceleration, and hp. I think they do it though as more of an average than an exact number from the factory. Most report/reviews may make several 0-60 runs, and only report the best time as opposed the the average time which I think the factory goes by. That's only a guess though. I don't know how the factory actually arrives at thier numbers. I do know that they are undergoing a new more accurate system for measuring miles per gallon in advertising. So the sticker on the new car is going to reflect much closer to the real MPG's. I think Ford is already using it.
  16. Did you do the center console also? are you going to?
  17. For a hundred bucks and you gat all that? what's the question? Yeah that's a good deal. Heck, get 2 and use one as a back up! Since I swtiched to my ipod instead of CD's man was that a God send! I listen to alot of music in the car, and now I have 3000 songs in a 2''x3.5'' flat jukebox, and all my favorite movies. That alone is worth the change in my opinion, but add to that you say it upgrdes the sound and has a few other options, I would snatch that up no question. Especially when you consider the Scion was geared for the kids and so the stereo's in them are a major feature and attraction. I've had to pull one or two out of a dash to get to something else or do a mod, but I wasn't aware that it's a direct fit into a 4runner. But if it is, then I wouldn't even think twice about it. And if you ain't bumpin da !Removed!, den how you keep da ho's in line? All dat yappin I gotta hear fo fo seconds btween da songs is all a mac can take!!!
  18. The IS 200's are put in with the IS 300 forum. Same car, different motor. Can a moderator please move this to the IS 300 forum? If you want a GTE swap, I have a source. In fact I looked a 2JZGTE the other day,, with tranny, turbos,ECU and harness, 32,000 miles on it, clean, and they wanted $9,000.00 US dollars for it, plus shipping.
  19. Hahahaha!! I just called the Lexus dealership here in Orlando. HAhahahahahaha!!! They just quoted me ( Get this!) $780.00 to purchase and install the I-Pod interface unit!!! Hahahahahahahaha!! I can get the unit for $197.00 and install it myself!!
  20. No, no, you have to take the car the way it is! We are talking about the baddest production you would buy if you had to buy just 1. Which one would it be?
  21. So the weather is like that alot there huh? I guess I sometimes forget that it's not Florida everywhere. ;) And when is your next meet? And now that you have those fancy dash lights, whats next?
  22. Nice! What event is this? The Green IS is really nice. I don't like green, but it still looks good!
