  1. Take it to a shop will save you a bunch of money.. I know a few shops in Austin that can do decent jobs.. Do you live around Lamar and 183??? I know a mechanic that used to work for Champion Toyota as a Master Mechanic and he just opened his own shop few months ago. Let me know if you want to try him out..
  2. go to this website http://ssl.delti.com/tires-easy/start.html they have all kind of tires and very good prices, I bought a set of General Exclaim UHP 215/45 ZR17 87W BSW for $320 including shipping, and I paid Sam's club about $20 to put them on my IS.
  3. Thank you for your advice. My 95 is 12 yr old but it only has 85K miles on her .... but I will do what you said.. thanx.
  4. ATF Type T-IV transmission fluid from Toyota dealer should be equivalent with ATF Type T-II ??? The reason I ask because I have 5-6 quarts of ATF Type T-IV in my garage.
  5. Need some suggestion before flushing my 95 LS400 transmission fluid. Can I use the TYPE T-IV transmission fluid from Toyota for my 95 LS400? I think the owner's manual said different type of fluid...
  6. I want to convert my 95 LS400 headlights to HID with one of the conversion kits that is being sold on ebay. Has anyone had this done to their cars?? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
  7. my 95 does, if I'm not wrong 95,96 and 97 are 2nd generation LS400 and they are exactly alike.
  8. gha_vn Can you drive faster than 70KMH in VN? I'm just curious...
  9. Oh well guys, I went to Radio shack and bought the replacement lamps and replaced my radio lamps today, but after 2hour of work and my radio back light and the light for all the control button knobs still don't work. I think it's not the lamps that going bad it is something else such as a fuse or a power source for these lamp is bad. Anyone has any idea ???? If I can find a point inside the radio that has +12VDC whenever the radio is turned on I will solder a wire directly to the lamps??
  10. I think the problem is that the part is hard to find. I searched for a lcd when mine was going out, but I couldn't find anything which is why I had Mikado do it. At any rate, $150 (+ shipping) is a very fair price to have the lcd replaced. thank you blake918 for the info. the cluster panel is the odometer and rpm tach meter panel, I read somewhere about a fix for the cluster panel so I thought there was one for the radio LCD too... I'm going to try to fix the backlight myself this weekend and I can live with the LCD missing segment until it's getting really worst than I will send it in for repair.
  11. This morning on the way to work my odometer stays at 0 but after driving about couple of miles it started working normal again. Does anyone have this issue and if there's any fix that I could it myself ??
  12. Thank you blake918 for the info, but I thought there is a fix for this LCD just like the one for the cluster panel so I could fix it myself. Maybe I'm wrong...
  13. I have a 95 LS400 and I only put 85K miles on it, but my radio backlights are out and the LCD character are missing one of the segments. I know there is a fixed for the backlight and my question is if anyone knows there's a fixed for the LCD missing segment. Thank you for all your help...

  16. This weekend I took my wife 2001 IS300 for a spin, turn on the car and the Snow indicator light came on I thought it was weird because it is 77 degree outside.. I drove the car around the corner and the light would not go off so I puuled over and turned off and turned it back on that when the Snow indicator light went away.. so far the light still not come back on yet ... So does anyone know what the heck that Snow indicator light for and if there's anything wrong with my wife's car?? We live in Austin,TX and it don't ever snow here .... maybe once in 10 years....
  17. Tofu, i checked ABP, and they said it was dealer only:( I will call the junkyard tomarrow and see what i find....Cross your fingers;) Thanx Scott
  18. too bad you don't live in TX, my friend has a shop and can do the works for you around 600 bucks total. He replaced timing belt, bearings, seals, tensioners and water pump on my 97 ES300 for total of $350 including parts from toyota.
  19. I think 95 and 94 are different, I can't see that Fan-H-fuse in my fuse box. My 95 only has 1 cooling fan for the AC and 1 cooling fan for the radiator. According to your attachment, it shows that 94 has 2 cooling fans for AC.
  20. I will defidently look in to it for you. There is also a place here called ABP(auto body panel) 502-473-7300 that deals in aftermarket parts..... fenders, bumper skins, etc. I will happily price check it ,if it's available. As far as price your guess is as good as mine? Tofu, do you only need the skin, or is it smashed b/c you'd be amazed at how well a good bodyshop can fix damages most would consider unfixable(just a thought;) Anyway, i'll let you know what i find. Scott Scott, Yes, I only need the skin. My bumper torn up pretty bad beyond repair.
  21. My 95 LS400 air conditioning fan in front the condensor is not running when I turn on the air conditioning. The air is cold inside the car. Is there a fuse for this fan any where in the car?
  22. Scott, I have a 95 LS400 and I need to replace my front bumper cover. I live in Austin,TX and can't find any in the locals junk yards. You know how much they cost?
  23. I saw one for the transmission too but I didn't get it. Thanx.
