That is wierd, it usually makes some noises if it doesn't extend or retract all the way. If it don't make any noise and radio working fine than I wouldn't touch it at all. But if you decide to get it replaced you can buy them online. I just replaced mine a month ago and it's not that easy... Good luck..

My car starts fine if weather is warm, never had a problem. Only early mornings when it is COLDER THAN 40 DEGREE the car will not start on the first try, after that the car started with no problems. It could be my battery but you would think it will not start at all no matter how many times you crank the engine?? Believe me I checked my battery all the terminals and cabkes is clean.

Hi all, Maybe someone had this problem that Im having. Early morning when the weather is colder than 40 degree my car would not start on the first try and makes a noise like the nattery doesn't have enough juice, but it starts fine on the 2nd try everytime. I don't think my starter is bad ??? Any suggestion ?? Thanx

From my experience if it is the motor mounts the car shakes or vibrates when the car is stopped with trainy in gear. It could be you wheels balancing Did you try that?

My 2000 RX300 doesn't have the master key when I bought it only has the valet key. So I bought a master key and had it cut and flashed the ECU by the qualified locksmith to get the car start with the new key, but he could not programmed the remote to lock and unlock the doors. Anyone know what wrong with my car or remote? I even tried with the following method found in the forums but when I get to step #7 NOTHING happen: Remote Programming 1. Close and lock all doors. Unlock and open drivers door. 2. Put key into ignition and remove. Do not turn it on. 3. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock) 4. Close and open drivers door. 5. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock) 6. Put key into ignition. Turn to "ON" , turn off and remove. 7. You will see the door locks cycle by themselves. If the door locks do not cycle (lock and unlock) by themselves then the car isn’t in programming mode and you must start over. 8. On the remote, press and hold the LOCK and the UNLOCK button at the same time for no more than 2 seconds. 9. On the remote, press the LOCK button for no more than 1 second. AT THIS POINT, the locks should cycle by themselves ONE time. This means the procedure was accepted. IF the locks cycle twice it has failed.

I was told that 2002 SC430 will not read burned copy of Navigation DVD's. 2002 SC430 only reads OEM disk.

How many miles your car has?? A good friend of mine is a mechanic and he once told me that you don't need to replace your timing belt until your water pump goes out. He was talking about Toyota and Lexus in general.

I have a document that will point out the location of the ECU. You will need to PM your email address so I can send it--too large for this forum. However, it is not necessary to disconnect the ECU to reprogram the key. There was a post recently that detailed the procedure at this link: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66254 I needed an extra key last year. I ordered a cut key by serial number from a Lexus dealer (they need proof of ownership). I used the attached instructions with no problem what-so-ever to program the remote key. Good luck! Does anyone has a picture to show the location of the ECU for 2000 RX300? I need to remove the ECU so locksmith can program my new key, I only got valet key and it would save me $60 if I remove the ECU myself. Thanx.

The problem is the key I have is not a master key, I took my car to a locksmith and they use some kind of machine look like a computer and they hooked up to my car to program my new key. The cost was $70 inc. tax vs. dealer $213 + tax. Thanks for all the help.

Did you every figure out what sensor is bad. I have the same code on my 2002 SC430. front or rear, lfet side or right side Guys, The O2 sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 1 is the one between the Cat. converter and the engine on the passenger side. Good luck.

Is there any way to open and close the top manually. I just wondering if you open your top and then when you want to close it doesn't want to close ???

I've tried this about at least 10 times but no luck. I also tried the method that "step on the gas pedal 5 times etc..." and that didn't work either. Dealer in Austin wants $160 to program the key. I guess I'm SOL.

I just bought my car and the key does not have remote to unlock/lock doors and trunk. So I bought one on Ebay but I can't program the key with the instruction I found on internet. Can anyone help or I have to take to dealer to get it programmed??? Thanx.
