  1. check your tires, i had the same problem and when i came to change the tires all the cords in one tire were blown up, and they told thats what caused the vibration, on a new tires it became a lil better but i still feel the vibration in front of my car. when i lifted the car i checked everything and everything looks peachy. so i still dont know

i have this vibration only from 75 to 80 mph, before or after there is none whatsoever.

  2. i did it already, got brake pads from the local dealer as well, i needed them ASAP coz caliper rail or watever it called got stuck and one of the pads was weared to the metal, i got the pads for 64$ a pair, i changed both front and rear,

i have a tax id and an account with them so it cost me a little less because i buy for a net price and no tax.

  3. i was racing with acura NSX and undercover police officer was driving on the same highway and we passed him, and he put the siren on and then 2 other cars showed up and screamed at us to pull over. 10x god they didnt impound the car, my bro drove me home and then went to the prcecinct to take care of me.

dont know what happend to that NSX guy

  4. all the parts original?

how much did u pay for everything?

i'm also changing serpentine belt and tenstionser, timing belt with both pulleys and the rest if what u said u changed, i got parts online from out of state dealer and i stocked 3 air 2 fule and 5 oil filters and transmission filter

all of the above cost me 760$ with no labor, i will do everything myself

all i have to buy is the cooling fluid, sinthetic oil and trnas fluid

  5. nothing scary when there are no speed limit and no cops around, after i got stopped for doing 110 and spent half of the day in the precinct and gettin 11 points on my license and increasing my insurance up to 5k i'm kinda scared to go above the speed limit. they have their ways to prove their point......

  6. any of your engine modifications will void your warranty, at least thats what ive been told at the dealership, my friend's dad just got a brand new fully loaded ls 430 last nite and i went to pick it up with him, they specifically said what they liable to fix and whats not. and he said that engine modification voids the warranty.

  7. 95 LS is a generation II model and it will not fit 90-94 LS

    90-94 generation I

    95-97 Generation II

    98-2000 genration III

    and 2001- now is VI

all the parts made for particular generation will fit any model from that generation except some little details regarding engine or transmission revisions, but those things easily checked by your vin number

  8. you should really check your amplifier, because it looks like thats whats giving you problems, it is located under your passanger seat. in order to access it you need to remove your front passenger seat and take a look at what is going on with ur amp. i had this problem when the water got into the amp while they were washing my car. after replacing the amp everything was just fine.

  9. not sure about your suspension problem but you can easily check your engine mounts by putting your transmission into drive and pressing accelerator pdeal while still pushing the brakes. check the engine movement, if it moves a lot and you can feel the car shacking, then it means either engine mounts or transmission mounts gone bad.

  10. hi, i beleive i got the same car as yours and the differnce is only year, i changed struts already but my mechanic told me to stick to original parts so i installed original ones, as to the timing belt, you might wait another 10k if you want to, i have 120k already and i still didnt change it, in our engine it is not that critical, even if the belt will brake it will not kill the engine, labor for this is a lil bit costly so you should do everything at the same time, also get the original parts online at www.newlexusparts.com, its almost 2 times cheaper then getting parts from the local lexus dealer. As to the $ u paid for your car, i think u did overpaid a little bit, i got mine 2 years ago for 13200$ for 85k miles on it. I was lookin for it for couple of month and i bought it at the auction.

to find a good intake is a big problem for our generation II cars. there are cheap models available, but you dont want to install cheao stuff into that car. i'm constanlty looking for it online and at the local stores and i will be able to find it i will let you know. If you will find it faster please let me know:)

    regards. Vit

  11. my brother had this problem on his acura, first of all timing belt was set incorreclty and when they fixed it was still overheating but in a strange manner, it was going to the top and then back to normal every time engine was staring cold, after replacing termostt and water pump it got back to normal, so yea, check the timing and then rest, save some $

  12. I was racing with nissan 240 zx and maxima SE on an old runway in the Floyd Bennet Field in new york and i did that 145 right there, it was really scary to drive that fast and i had no room to accelerate more and it felt like the car can do more, i think the top speed for lexus is limited my the ECM, if i would knew the way to reprogram it i think i would be able to do more, but those experiments require very good tires, even my VR tires were really hot and stinky when i stopped.

  13. the reason why i decided to do it is because i already can hear the tensioner making noises on 800-1000 RPM, the whole tuneup thing i wanna do because i noticed a significant incease in fuel consumption and i think its time to put iridium NGK plugs, as to the rest of them, serpentice belt and water pump i will change only to make sure and to forget about them for the next 60k. i also want to check the seals if they are ok or not.

  14. you can try to locate your ECM and put it into test mode, write down the codes it gives you and later on just try to find info about those codes online, after putting your ECM into test mode it will reset it, and your check engine light should go off, also those error codes should give you some info about what is going on in your car. for cars younger then 95 there is a special scanner for those things but for cars before 95 you have to do this manually. i'm not sure how to do it on lexus, i did it on my brothers legend and my friends maxima and it worked. try to look for more info on how to do it for your LS.

    Good luck

  15. thanks for your advice, but this procedure is like 50$ and is done not by a dealer but by local mainenance shop and i'm just not sure if they doing everything right. please let me know if i can do it myself and what kind of fluid should i use? i used a regular transmission oil before.
