  1. That seems to be a crap load for shipping... Almost like some of those e-bay people ;)
  2. Joel5150....I was just wondering...did you see the pictures??? He has no trunk space to do anything with...so that question was a little silly don't you think? Sorry...couldn't resist.
  3. Preventative maintenance…gotta love it! :D By the way...welcome to the club of wise decisions...
  4. That is right....your ride has been on the road 2 years...I am sure that there is a chip or two on the grill....look closely and you should be able to see the chrome in one of the chips....
  5. Please do...cuz my ride is kinda looking bland and like it belongs to some 80 year old man right now, not someone my own age. No offence to anyone that is that seasoned...just something about that whole "stock look" when your 22 doesn't work all that great ...slowly but surely.
  6. Yeah...that might get you over here in a hurry though :whistles:
  7. I had a feeling you were going to be the one to respond to that! :) Thanks...guess I better just lay off the gas pedal a slight bit
  8. Hey JSC300...I just realized that unless you throw that turbo on soon and clear the freeways...your going to need to take a lot more than a weekend off to make it man...we are in Seattle, WA...not Washington DC...DAMN...thought we had a couple more, oh well. I would recomend throwing up a new thread about that man...you may have a couple of bites...
  9. With the steady rising gas prices I wanted to throw this question out there...does the ECT Power button on my '98 GS300 use more gas or is it computer controlled?
  10. I just picked one up for my 22nd birthday (no...mommy and daddy didn't pick it up, I did...) and I tell you what, Lexus has made a life long customer...everything from the car itself (speaks enough right there) to the customer service @ the dealer if there ever is anything that you would need...yes, you do pay a price but it is worth every penny!
  11. All we need to do is get the word out...Dino has 4 (including himself), I have myself and my roommate (ltuned93) and then you and whatever you have. Now the only thing is we all have to try and get a time & place that works for everyone so that we can actually meet each other. Any suggestions from anyone?
  12. Actually I know the car was in a wreak...but I never even thought of that is where the tire went...maybe it was worse than I thought. Damn! Hey, and thanks for the idea of replacing with a cheap steel rim that weighs less...espesually with the rising gas prices..I can afford to not have weight in my car!
  13. Hey guys, Picked up a used '98 GS 300 and low and behold...I find out after making the deal that I am missing my spare. I am looking for someone that has up graded that has no need for their stock spare...let me know! I would also be interested in picking up '00+ GS stock wheels if anyone has them...
  14. Check this one out...it has pix... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...=ST&f=1&t=3715&
  15. Bet it's great to have a car that rides on rails! Hopefully I will know what your talking about soon!
  16. NICE! Looks good. Where did you go to have it "l-tuned"?
  17. I am with SW03ES...what would we be looking @...I like the install...where did you get it done?
  18. I did...very nice. Some of the items made me raise an eyebrow but for the most part very smooth and "classy"
  19. I would recomend to go to the dealer, express your concern, and have them SHOW you the traction control. If there is no snow out then have them take the car out (depending on where you are, they will have cars set aside for test drives that the THRASH on...at least here in Bellevue) and place the tires on different surfaces (ie gravel, dirt & pavement) turn the wheel and slam down the gas. The tires will make like a half turn, chirp letting you know it broke loose, then communicate between all four and not slide. Due to the fact that you have the wheels turned, the tires will all gradually change surfaces...I would not recomend doing this for kicks in your own ride...but that is what a dealership is for. If they won't show you...they must not have faith in Lexus and should not be selling them...go somewhere else.
  20. Good call! I gave it a shot and called but they said 4yr or 50K mi unless extended warrenty...guess who didn't buy one Thanks for the insight though...
  21. I would suggest a shoe store, usually the higher end shoe stores will have a larger variaty of colors for polish i.e. Nordstroms, Bon, etc...then try it on a very small generally "non visable unless your looking spot", buff out and then look closely (maybe even with a flashlight) to see how close they match or if they do at all.
  22. I'm in for the $20 for a group deal...just so you all know that there is an interest...
  23. Hey guys, I was helping my girlfriend move and yes I was being bad and using the Lex and I happened to set a cardboard box in the back seat and caught the back of the seat. Have you ever introduced your leather to your girlfriends cardboard box filled with books? Well don't <_< Yeah, nice addition in 1 second flat. Moral of story, found out that if you take shoe polish of the same color as your leather (unless you are feeling spunky and want to replace all your leather...then use whatever color you want), it softens & covers the scratch that you worked so very hard to install. If you make sure to buff it with a soft rag real good, it won't even come off on your girlfriends bright white pants (even though after the move you might not mind...)
