  1. I have a 08 350 AWD GS. I notice when I switch from D to S around 60 MPH. The transmission uses 4th gear instead of 6th gear. Is this normal? This is kind of dangerous. Can this be re-configured based on the speed?
  2. After emailing to the GM of dealership, they agreed to reimburse that new RFT. But with a lot of execuses and BS. I truely believe the tire can be fixed. Anyway, I cannot prove it because I don't have the flat tire anymore. And dealer also said they can be replaced by the traditional tires with the OEM rims. It is too late to ask them to replace all of them. We are currently contacting Lexus Customer Service 1-800-255-3987 to see what they can do about it. We have not heard back from them. I would like to encourage people to do that if you are not unhappy about this. Let them know this is a problem with #50K+ cars. I agree with you, ahearn. The technology is not quite there yet. I've done some researches online. The RFTs are giving problems to Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, BMW 3 series and Lexus SC. There are a couple class action lawsuits against Toyota and Honda about misleading customers for unexpected high tire replacement costs. I guess they are more owners for Toyota and Honda. Otherwise, we may see the same situation for BMW and Lexus.
  3. My car is 08 GS350 AWD with Dunlop run-flat tires. I had a screw at RR. The Lexus dealer claimed the tires are not repairable. It can only be replaced. Does anyone know it is a true statement? Replacing a RFT will cost around $400 according to the dealership. Does anyone know if we can use traditiional tires on those rims? Or have to use RFT? Thanks.
  4. Hi sha4000, Does booklet has any web site or phone number? Or any information that we can register for this year? Or information that they will have one in Seattle? Thanks.
  5. Hi bartkat, Do they have a web site for this year? I cannot find this year event from www.LexusTasteOfLuxury.com, Thanks.
  6. Does anyone know if there is one in Seattle for this year?
  7. I found this TSIB from nhtsa. Does anyone know what this is for? What is the problem? How can it be reproduced? Make : LEXUS Model : RX330 Year : 2004 Manufacturer : TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC. 8. Hi SKperformance, I was saying that I have been using 91 octane premium unleaded gas since 2003/12. I can still feel the hesitation on my car.
  9. Is this a TSIB? What is the number? What is the starting VIN number?
  10. I don't think the premium unleaded gas will help the hesitation because I have been used premium unleaded since I have mine since 2003/12.
  11. I totally agree with chimchim. His example is the same experience with me. I have to train myself to do feather touch on the accelerator. It is really not a pleasure drive because of this rough transmission shifting. This didn't happen to my previous Lexus. Is this because of the 5 speed transmission?
  12. Hi Booyah, What is one coming for the ES and RX for the throttle deal? What is this about? Thank you for the info.
  13. Hi Husker4theSpurs and Booyah, any info on this one?
  14. Does anyone get this TSIB fix for this one? I asked my service dealer. There is one for ES330 just came out recently, but not for RX330. Any info?
  15. When I set my headlight to be AUTO position and drive through a tunnel, the light won't turn on immediately. Once it turns on, I almost reach the end of tunnel. This is really annoying. Is there a C-Best setting can set it to be on/off immediately? I looked this C-Best setting document from http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ype=post&id=877. It says "To change the control logic when the light control switch is at AUTO position". The default is 15 seconds. The selections are 7.5s/15s/30s. Is 7.5 seconds the shortest one?
  16. Does anyone know the starting VIN numbers for those two TSBs? My car is AWD and from Japan. Service Bulletin Num : 00204 Date of Bulletin: MAY 05, 2004 Summary: GROAN SOUND WITH AIR CONDITIONER ON. *TT Service Bulletin Num : 01203 Date of Bulletin: DEC 17, 2003 Summary: RATTLE FROM THE BRACKET OF THE GLOVE BOX AREA. *TT Thank you.
  17. I just got this TSB done today. As far as ticking noise from the engine, I cannot hear it after I pick the car. I will monitor more. Here is the list. 18. I also had this TSB done on Tuesday 3/15/2005. But I still can hear the wind noise. If I tap down a little bit, the noise is gone. I also notice the window is still tilted like before if I roll it all way up. Does anyone get a second fix to make the noise gone? TSB: NV0008-04 68171-48032 Weatherstrip, Fr Door 68172-48032 Weatherstrip, Fr Door Thanks.
  19. I check this brake booster with my dealer. He said this TSIB is only applied for Canada made RX330. Is this true? Are yours from Canada?
  20. I found out these two new TSIBs from NHTSA web site. Does anyone know the details and the fixes? Thanks. TSIB-00804 Rear Wiper Improvement TSIB-00504 Brake Boaster
  21. Are those popping sounds like water dropping sounds sometimes? I have those sounds when I drive over bumps or bumpy roads. I believe they are from the front passenger seat. To be more specific, I think they are from the wires under the seat. I have not talked to dealer about it. Let me know if you find out anything.
  22. Just find out this TSIB from NHTSA: 00804. REAR WIPER IMPROVEMENT. This might be the one can fix it. I also found out another TSIB: 00504. BRAKE BOOSTER. Does anyone know what this is?
  23. Or like water dropping sound? I have heard that and I think it is from passenger side. It doesn't make the sound all the time. I think it only happens on the bumpy time.
  24. Same here. I am still waiting for a fix since last Dec of 03.
