I ordered an 07 IS250 in manual. I never got to test drive because there were not any in the entire state of Oklahoma. My question is do you guys enjoy them. Are they quick enough for you. I had a Mazda 3s that had 160hp...the IS is 204. The mazda did 0-60 in about 7 sec. the IS is in over 7.5. How is this. Is it that much heavier. I fear i will be dissapointed. Help from anyone would be great.

I just drove the 350 today. it was fast. but i dont think it was any more fun to drive than the 250 other than the acceleration. Now the 250 manual should be a little more fun to drive because i love manuals. i dont really want to race the car. i bought the car for the inside and the quality. I think i will be extremely happy with the 250 manual. it is not as fast but i have a sportbike for fast and a lexus for class. i will keep my eye out for a 35k premium, nav, 18s package which i have seen a couple but i dont think i am gonna go out of my way for one. Plus mine will be 07 and new. and i am getting it for the 06 prices.

i have driven the 250. it was ok. i didnt really get on it being that it was a test drive. i am gona go drive the 350 and the 250 today and think about it some more. i am afraid to cancel my order because once i do that it is done. but i need to before they start building so that the dealer is not stuck witha 250 manual, nav that doesnt sell often. it is a 350 with 5500 miles, nav, premium, 18s. nice car. i just dont wanna clean a black car and i love the silver, it makes all the lines stand out on the car.

hey buddy, now happy are you with the 250 as far as power. i have not been able to drive a manual and i have one on order but i am contemplating buying a used 350 to make sure i am happy with power. is your manual. are you happy. thanks buddy

:cries: I have an 07 250 on special order, manual, nav, 18s, and premium. I am worried that i wont be happy with the power. my last car had 160 hp and i thought it was quick. it was 0-60 in 7.5. the IS250 has over 40 more hp but is still not as quick off the line??? So i am thinking about maybe waiting a little longer and trying to get a 06 350. i found one in black for 37500 with the same options and i am pretty sure i can get it for 3500 ish. i would have to fly to cali and drive it back but i have a buddy willing to go with me. I cannot decide if i should wait it out and get the 350 which is auto but i am ok for the 100 more hp or just stick with what i have and if i am not happy trading up later. or if i should get it. i really want silver and the one i found it black, but i am sure that i can find one here soon that is exactly what i want for 35000 given that the 07s are coming out soon. I pay 35000 for an 07 IS250 manual in the color i want and get about september, or i pay 35000 for a used 06 IS350 and get automatic and hope to find silver and get ???? What do you guys think. can some ppl post some pics with the silver and with the black with tinted windows....any help i would greatly appreciate.

Yeah i just hope they are smart enough to put two and two together at the dealership. I hope they can order them as stand alone even though the dont have the specs on the new one as of yet. I mean if i am getting a special order IS250 i should at least get to order what i want. And who knows how much it will cost to add them in after the car is produced...."here is an arm and i owe you a leg."

i would love some pics. i am gonna stay with the 18 stock for now. i am just happy to be able to barely afford the car. i have premium, 18, and nav on it now. mine will be an 07 since i ordered so late in the year. I wonder if i can request the hid stand alone option even though it is not official yet. i really really want factory Hids. i will have to try tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures, keep them coming if you can. Yeah the wait sux. i cannot decide if i want to upgrade my special order to luxury package....dont wanna spend the 2200 more but i want the HIDS.

:P I am sorry if this is a repost. I currently have a 250 IS manual, with nav, and premium package ordered. I am thinking about fully loading it out with the luxury package or sport package, my dealer said i may not be able to. Is it possible to get the manual 250 with nav and luxury package, that is the one i am leaning towards or the sport package. the car has not hit production yet and we are thinking we can just add to the order before it does. does anyone have any experience with this or know about this. please let me know if you do. thanks guys. and thank you for the warm welcome to the forum. i cannot wait to get my car. it is my first IS.

No fully loaded has everything available on the car. it is about 44600 for those options.

It is Fully loaded, but the bad thing is that he was full of *BLEEP*. i called back like 30 min later and a female named kim talked to me who was really cool, told me that she could do 2200 off the sticker. much less than what he originally quoted. she said that a few salesmen there do that quite often. clowns.

Right now i have a dealer that is offering me a white with grey 350 FULLY LOADED for 37000. I asked him if he was serious and why he could sell that for the price and he said cause they are competitive. I told him if he was serious i would cancel the order on my 250 and get the 350.

Yeah. Well now my car will be an 07. The 07s are expected to rise a little in MSRP. I was told that i wont have to pay anymore for an 07 than i already expect to pay for the 06. A dealer in Texas is working on getting me the car i want for 1500 cheaper but i am pretty much not wanting an 06 anymore at this point due to haveing a year old car with a brand new loan. we will see what happens. i am just gonna have to be patient.

Yeah i am pretty sure i will be happy. i was happy with my 160hp mazda 3s manual. this has 44 more horeses so i will just assume that it will be pretty much fast comparatively speaking. I have a motorcycle for FAST. I want my car for CLASS.

I am brand new to the forum. I am waiting on my car to get here from Japan in about 2-3 months. I am very very anxious. I ordered Silver/Black, Manual, Heated and cooled seats, Navigation, and 18" wheels and I just want more picutures of the IS. If you could, please post pictures to hold me over while I wait. I did not. i was afraid that i would be upset. i dont want a comparative answer to the 350. just want to know if the manual 250 is quick.

I had a question. Here in OKLAHOMA in June i ordered a 250 that came to about 35k with the options i got. At that time we talked price and he would only give me 500 off. He said that they could not go lower because they cannot keep the cars on the lot plus the fact that i had to special order mine. Now i know that in OK they cannot hold your deposit by law even though they try. Do i have a leg to stand on if i try to go in when the car arrives and work a lower price. If so what should i be paying for a 35k car with the options. Any help would be awesome. I am just not sure if the " we cannot go lower because of the demand and ordering of the car " BS.

I only got 500 off and that was basically the BS frieght. Every dealer i called in about 1000 miles said that 500 was bout as good as it gets because of the demand. IF you have to order your special made like i did you wont get anything other than the 500 from what i could find.

I also own an R1 motorcycle that is balls fast. I wanted the IS for fun drive and confort mainly. I dont mind having some power but i hear that it is weaker than you would expect. Maybe regretting not ordering the 350, just didnt want auto.

I dont know what the dealers are talking about when they tell you that you cannot order an 06 or even an 07. My dealer said they are just trying to get ppl to buy what they can order or already have faster. I would tell them what you want and order that. BTW I am new to the forum....this is my first post. Cannot wait to get my car.
