yeah if my damn car ever decides to get here. i have the 07 silver/black, hids, premium, nav, spoiler, gonna add xm i think, for 37800 otd. was a 39k car. i am happy with the price. just tired of getting the "well jason, we think it should be here next week. yeah they said they dont have a loaner car to give atm. they said for me to call back tomorrow and see if one of their loaners have come back. blah *BLEEP*ing blah. tired of waiting. i have been calling the dealers in dallas for a used 350 for around 36-37ish. Most dont have nav or premium package or are not silver or black. if i lived on the east or west coast i would be rollin atm. hate the wait.

lol. i have to get my girl before all of that. i am gonn talk to them today and see if they can get me a loaner driver car since my car has not gottne here like they expected plus i have been on my bike for 3 months now. i need something to drive besides it. there is a dealership in dallas that has my car it came in yesterday, i am gonna tell them to try and get that one.

Everyday i expect a damn phone call telling me my car is in Louisiana and it is on its way but i keep getting let down. Getting very impatient. Bout to just go to Dallas and get one. I expected my car by this weekend, was planning on taking my girl out to a nice resturant for her bday. You think they will hook me up with a loaner til mine gets here.

well if i get the portable one i can use it anywhere in the world. and when it is in my car i can just hook it up to the mp3 port. so no need for professional install. so 350 otd. only has traffic for certain areas at the moment. not in oklahoma. only cows and rednecks dont show up on gps. lol

Ok heres the deal. I dont have XM on my car from the factory but to have it installed at Lexus they charge 600ish installed. I was thinking about getting XM because everyone I have asked about it praise it like it is the second comming of christ. Plus I think I could get a lot out of it. Here is the problem. I dont know if i should get the factory install or buy the new portable Pioneer XM 50 gig radio. The radio is 350 and with the car install it will be about 500ish after tax and all. I would be able to get XM in the car, while i am out of the car, or in the house. Lexus said they would do the install for the factory for 450ish to cut me a deal and i could buy a home radio reciever for about 100 that comes with everything i need for the house. I could only use it in the car or the house though. I guess i am curious as to if you all think it is worth having it dealer installed, i mean the 07 comes with the sharkfin with or without XM so that doesnt add as a perk. What do you guys think. thanks. Oh and my car should be here in a few days....cannot wait. so damn anxious. J

It is not so much of the Greatest thing since sliced bread or anything, but if i am paying about the same for the cars and i am gonna get what i want, i should at leaset "get what i want". Plus i was not at all impressed with the manual tranny. Felt like it belonged in a different car.

Yeah it does look rough if you dont save it to your desktop and view it in it actual size. it is pixelated. the true rez of the original picture is 1920x1200. so when you shrink it is looks edgy. if that is what you meant by rough. it is one of my first attempts at cell shading. i followed a tutorial. i am an artist with a pen and pencil and am just learning photoshop. Yeah it is true. When i first got to oklahoma city, the first four years i was here i didnt own a car at all. I bought my first car in 2004 and it was a manual mazda 3s. I love being able to shift being that i am a sportbike rider. I like the control. I did a lot of research on the manual for this IS and i was a little dissapointed in the reviews for it. Most people i have talked to say it isnt as sporty of a manual as they expected. I couldnt get the HIDs on my 2007 manual i ordered and i would have had to wait another month and a half to get it. I decided to go with the automatic. I got HIDs on it and it is an 07. I also got 1800 off. With the tiptronic, there is enough of control than standard automatic so i am happy. Plus the 250 is not really fast so there is no need to push the car with a manual. A lot of car companies are going to the tiptronic gearboxes these days. before long, there will be no true manuals out there. all cars will go with a tiptronic manual gearbox eventually like the ferari and other high end cars. it is just the way of the future and technology. If you end up getting the manual anyways, there will be a silver, 2007 with black interior, premium, 18s, and nav that will be at eskridge lexus in OKC. i know for a fact you can get the car for 1k off at a minimum. just do a dealer trade or come pick it up. should be here middle september. let me know if you end up wanting it, i can get you a good word in and maybe some more off of it. i would highly recommend you test drive a manual IS before waiting for 3 months like i did. You may find yourself getting the automatic in the end like me. good luck, let me know what you end up deciding

Yeah i am excited as hell. It may be a little longer to get the car but i dont have to drive to dallas to get it and i can still buy from my local dealer.

well i told my dealer today that i was backing out of the manual special order. i told them that i have a dealer with an 07, auto, nav, 18s, premium, and HIDs that they were going 1200 off of sticker otd. they actually were not as upset as i thought they would be and offered to match if i stay with them here in okc. i was impressed. we will see if they can get me the same car in the same time frame

Your are too funny barkat. YOUR right though. I need to make a decision. A large point of my indecisiveness is not being able to drive the manual. But i think with all the reviews i read, the manual would be silly to wait another month at least for and not have the HIDs. I fell in love with the first car i drove, it was a silver, nav, premium, auto, with 18s......i am getting the same car, but as an 07 with HIDs.

I dont think i am settling. I have heard a lot about people not being as happy with the manual as expected. I have not tested one. I would hate to wait another month for it to be dissapointed and it not have HIDs. The sport shift has had rave reviews and it has HIDs. I also get this car in about two weeks so i am ok with the auto. I had to realize the reason i bought this car was not for the speed. It was the Lexus fit and finish and the gadgets. I would not regret getting the manual as much as not getting the HIDs on a 35k car. Oh and every dealer wont even talk about taking anything off the sticker for an 07 right now being that they have 06s on the lots still. Most that were not getting 06s anymore and were anticipating their 07s wouldnt come off the price more than 200 at most.

So i find a dealer today that mis quotes me on an IS250, 2007, Nav, Premium, 18s, and HIDS, for 1200 off the car. They have not even hit the dealers yet. Their mistake, either way they realize and offer to honor it. I currently have the same car coming without the HIDs and in a manual. I originally wanted the manual and they couldnt get the HIDs added before the car went into production. My original car was 34,745. The one I am gonna get now is 36,700. Granted the HIDs and Auto tranny. I am excited. I wanted the manual but heard that it was not very impressive at all, plus my girl can drive the auto, and i will have an easier time selling in the future. My Original Lexus dealer was not happy. I just told them, I have to wait at least another month for a car that may or may not have HIDs on it. The manual i never got to test drive i have read nothing but non impressive reviews. The car in Dallas IS going to have the HIDs and it will be here in less than two weeks. I feel really bad backing out after. But at least the manual IS they have is an 07 rather than a end of year 06. Hey I figure it is my 35k i am spending. So they lose a grand or two at worse. IF THAT. I live with the car for 6 years with regret. What do you guys think. I also hear i can get my deposit back. I didnt sign a non refundable deposit form. Just a special order request form. thanks guys. I have a tank bag that can carry quite a bit, backpack. I have had 180 buck in groceries on my bike before. The first four years i was here in oklahoma i didnt own anything but a bike. I rode in the rain, snow, sleet, and hail literaly. I bought my first car in 2004 at 22 yrs old. I am a little wild like that. So when i decide to actually spend money on a car, i wanted something nice. Spoiled myself for all that hardcore riding the in the weather.

I have a 2006 Yamaha R1. I ride it while i am waiting. Saving a *BLEEP* load on gas, insurance, and car payments. The weather is hot as hell but it doesnt rain much this time of year in oklahoma.

Yeah that is what i thought when i drove the 350. It WAS quicker. but in my opinion, it wasnt any more FUN than driving the 250 since they are almost the exact same car, it was just faster. I think the manual would still be more fun than having a faster car, i just am starting to contemplate getting a used 350 because there are so many used ones popping up here and there for the same price i am getting my new 07 manual 250. I am just going to take my time. When i drive the 07 when it finally arrives, i will know. the 350 insurance will be about 40 more a month than the 250 so that is also something to take into consideration. 40 more a month for about the same car given the manual tranny.

Yeah i can. I guess i will just have to see. I am starting to see that the 350s are popping up here and there fully loaded for 37000. i am paying 35 for mine. I may just hold out and get a 350 fully loaded. I dont know about the sport package. Have you driven it with the sport package. does it ride any rougher really.

Yeah i like the options. The nav is one of the things that sold me on the car. The fit and finish as well. I am not a power buff when it comes to cars, my bike is a different story. I just didnt get a chance to drive a manual. I was ok when i knew the hp was 40 more on the IS rather than on my Mazda 3s. But when i looked at the 0-60s for the cars i was a little concerned. I just wanted a 40 hp more car that performed like a 40 hp more car.
