  1. so ..... did you only put it in your tank? and if so is that proven to be just as effective as adding it to the block, or intake? Because im not the most educated when it comes to the mechanics of a job, i want to find the safest way to do this. I read almost that whole thread about the seafoam, but i went from being amped on finding such a good product, to just being sketched out and full of questions. What do you think jibby, what would be the most effective, yet idiot proff way to do this. And remember im really not good with mechanics (yet), and what goes where kinda stuff. Thanks Again
  2. for JIBBY and for DAWG about doin his exhaust ( I read the whole thing too) and all about the seafoaming which i plan to try DAWG-Most mufflers, if you go cheaper (which really doesnt matter to much) will come with a 2.5" inlet, so thats probly the best size to go with in case you find some down deal on ebay or somthin, yuh know. Also it would probably be worth your time (if possible) to find a good shop in your area where they might do custom work. Like i had this guy custom build my exhaust right in front of me in about 2 hours, $450 with labor and looks as professional as any. Its 3" piping that splits into dual 2.5" pipes. Also had radiator put in for $150. He also had used resinators for like $15 bucks a piece. And this weekend im puttin on some different 3.5" outlet stainless steel mufflers which i spent $30 a piece (its the same *BLEEP*). My point is that there are many shops that and could save you big bucks and time, rather than ordering all name brand stuff. JIBBY- you basically have lead my path for me doing a lot of the same mods as I plan on doing on my SC (except im keepin my spare, are you crazy) And i plan on using maybe more like a 50 shot depending on how hard it seems to run it. But reading about your mods has been informing, i appreciate it. And I soon am going to be on the hunt for that supraTT tranny aswell. And oh yah i kinda what to paint my front end, bumper mainly. You got a place thatll do a good job up there, how much you think? $$ Thanks for the good read you guys. Good luck dawg
  3. 94 sc300 automatic Im 20 yrs old, I got the car about a year ago from a private dealer for $9,000, with 104k. Next to perfect interior, same with under the hood. Never as clean as I like it, but its pretty damn clean. Now I havnt done much due to low funds, but the jzz31 perticularly is literally my favorate car and I will have it where I want it. Right now Ive got 3" piping splitting into dual 2-1/2" exhaust starting behind the cat, and intake ($600). The Nakamichi upgraded sound system. And 18" black rims w/ polished lip, deep dish in the rear. They are 9" wide (in rear) geared with Hankook tires. Handeling is probably 60% better than stock. I want... A Dragon torque conv., whole new BFI intake system, Tein coilovers, Electrical cooling fan, other stuff. Some electrical problems. Steering wheel will not lower anymore (sounds like the gears are grinding), 12 disc cd changer stoped working (maybe the fuse box, but not fuse). Oh yah and my ECT button on my shifter panel isnt opperational in the least! My 12 volt outlet went out too...great. The only thing Ive replaced was the radiator. Everything else is great.
  4. Im not sure If it is safe to change my tranny fluid. I hear it could be bad to change fluid that is too dirty scince it has been so long already. I bought the car this way (Id never let it get to that point) and now Im not sure what to do. The car has 122k, and the rest of it is very well maintained. I read about other people with acceleration problems at cool temps, and It was saying how it may have been because of the transmission fluid. I have the same problems, but never thought much of it because it always straightens up once its warm. thank you
  5. Im sure everyones seen the trim kits for the whole radio(temp control) panel, shifter, cup holder and right under the speedometer. Ok, now im looking for the wood grain panels going arcoss from driver side door around the dash to the passenger side door. So I was thinkin get those pieces in a dark carbon fiber. (Got the straight tan interior) <_< But Im thinkin....original tan with, black seats, black steering weel, and black carpet, with the complete carbon fiber trim kit. thank you, im so glad i found this site
  6. Thinking about geting a trim kit for the interior. I cant find the narrow pieces along the top of the doors and dash. Does anyone know where I can find those? I want to replace it all with a dark carbon fiber look (rather than wood grain), and I want it to look as professional as possible. Or If anyone could reccomend how i might remove those pieces so that I can just add the carbon fiber look, (with some sticker material in a roll.) thank you
  7. Its all accurate though. Ive recorded how many miles per 1/4 tank, and everything comes out right. I kinda like it because on the 1/2 half of the tank you got more than it looks like, yuh know.
  8. Swap? with the 2.5 jz? Id like to here more. I got sc3 AUTOMATIC. Im basically looking for any, and all upgrades I could preform without going broke, and without changing the transmission. But how much can that tranny take anyways?? So ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated. I wanna do all that I can with what I got, cause I love this car. Intake manifold? Supercharger? (cheap)Electric supercharger? (any good)? (50shot) Nos? ............? thank you
  9. Trust me....I wish, sc300 is my favorate car. (literally) Id take it over any other car, but i cant afford a turbo right now. And i have 122k on it, so im not sure it would be worth it, yuh know.
  10. I've seen kits for other lexus' but not for the SC300. Anyone know where i can get one, or if its compatible with the GS supercharger or somthing?
