i've always liked the rims that they put on the 400s. i'd go with those and if u want the more sporty look i'd also lower it.

i have an 06 300 and the power/snow does light up on the dash when switched on.... not sure about the heated seats....living in arizona i really have NO need to turn that feature on...

i got it done at an upholstery shop. Not sure if its the real deal or not but the fabric looks exactly the same as the gucci purses and stuff..

I'm with JeffR and ALWAYS recommend tint to anyone. Not only does it make the car look 10 times better but the privacy you get is even better... i personally have limo tint on the back 3 windows and one shade lighter on the front two. and you can also layer the tint, altough i dont know if thats good but it gets the job done....

evan3037 - when i got my interior done, they had TONS of different colors to choose from. i know they had some that would match perfectly with your grey interior...in fact i remember they had a black one with white G's, and it looked pretty nice.... kruger - i was planning on debadging it but when i started to peel the "LEXUS" badge off i found that there is a small hole behind the 'S' so i decided to just leave it on...

i know what your talking about and i've wondered the same thing....I think they put it there IF the user wants to use it, but the dealership will go off the miles the car has and they know what needs to be done for each interval...

Here is my 06....Only things i have done are the rims and blacked out the tail lights.

most cars usually have a reserve of 2 gallons once the low gas warning light comes on...but u shouldn't try to push it....i did that once and ended up waiting for 2 hours for AAA to show up!!

yea i agree with you, the seatbelt sound is really annoying! i've noticed that it shuts off after 30 seconds or so of driving.... just turn your radio up to drown out the noise!! haha

well the seatbelt warning is for your own safety. as for everything else, i guess it just does that to let u know that something needs service or attention. the dealer will not assist you in turning any of the warning lights/sounds off. i've already tried....

ok, so i tried to take off the LEXUS badging on the back of my trunk and found that the thing is held on by double sided tape AND two holes on each side that the thing kinda clips on to... anyone know how much it would cost to get the holes filled up and repainted??? i'm guessing its not gonna be cheap...

i bought this film kit off of ebay for $60. They came already pre-cut and all u have to do is put them on...Its kinda hard to do because you'll need a hair dryer to stretch the film over the tail light to get everything aligned. I took it a step further and cut out the half-circles to show the white from the reverse lights..

The car has a built-in cd changer in the dash. I never did like how lexus put them in the glove compartment in the 2nd gen GS. Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

is your 'check tire pressure' warning light on? or did you put the stock sensors in your new rims? i heard there was a switch under the hood by the drivers side that will shut off that sensor, but i haven't had any luck in finding it.

isn't the L part of the lexus lettering?? i think that would look nice too... How did you guys remove the lettering?? any pics so i can see how it looks? thx

The car is blue, but definately looks black in most cases. and yes that is gucci interior. thx for all the responses. what do you guys think of removing the lexus gs300 lettering off the trunk??

the back windows are limo tint and the front two are one-shade lighter...need that limo tint in this heat of az... i had these rims on another ride and they fit on this car so i just decided to use the same set instead of invest in another set of rims.

Here are some pics of my 06 GS. What do you guys think of the mods I've done so far? Has anyone done anything else? Let me know what you think of the interior. I'm thinking of pulling it out and leaving it stock. I've already been slammed for, well, not having the car slammed. Maybe in the future I'll have the car lowered but I'm fine with it right now. My front two tires rub the fenderwell when i make a sharp turn as it is anyway. i'm also thinking of removing the "LEXUS" and "GS300" lettering from the trunk, opionions on that??

where did you guys get the longer wire for the passport? also, you guys dont miss the mute button that was on the end of the power cord?

i dont think it means that its lost $8k in value...it just means that u wont be able to sell it for the same price that other GS's of your year are selling for...u'll probably get around $2k less... i know i wouldn't want to pay full price for a car thats been in an accident..

In theory the car shouldn't lose any value since it was fixed to Lexus's specifications and all. But, when you go to sell the car and someone runs a Carfax report the accident will show up and that might hinder them in wanting to pay KBB value for the car when they can just buy another one that hasn't been in any kind of accident. Just my 2 cents.

i second that...i think theres a handfull of us on these boards that have 20s on their rides. As you can see MOST people dont like 20s for some reason. I love mine and wouldnt go any lower unless you're planning on lowering your car...i didn't want to lower mine so i choose to put the bigger rims on...

Well i've been wondering about this for awhile so I thought I would just post it up here. I was wondering how somebody gets sponsored by companies/businesses for their cars. I've seen on multiple peoples signatures/photos that say they are sponsored how does that work? do they just give you free parts in exchange for advertising for them? any input would be appreciated...

My friend drives a 2001 GS300 that is almost due for its 60,000 mile service and he was wondering if he should just take it to Lexus to get it done or to go to the Toyota dealership since their hourly labor rates are cheaper than Lexus. Anyone have any recomendations?
