  1. I have a full cd system for a 91 LS, The changer is from a 93-94 so it would be a upgrade.
  2. ← The lower mount is replaced and the ES is as smooth as new. The dogbone with the washer in is nice and firm [Just the way I like it].
  3. Something tells me that it is not stripped, The fit of the allen wrench is very tight and to strip it you would have to put a ton of torque on it, Something I don't think you could do by hand, Maybe air wrench ? I don't think the wrench is properly seated. Take your time and see if you can seat the wrench into the plug. I changed the diff. oil on my GS and I know how tight it is. Keep us posted.
  4. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...1476&hl=dogbone Search in the ES forums under "dogbone"
  5. 175000 on my 93 ES300 and runs like new.
  6. i try to wash my car every 2 weeks to a month i wash my car mostly by hand now but when i dont have the time and the birds attack really bad i go to a carwash sometimes i flip-flop on the vacuum ← I wash by hand except for winter then pressure wash, I vaccum the interior, trunk clean and condition the leather, and swiffer everything else then armorall, wash the tires and wheels then I wash the car and finish with the glass. Then I detail the engine bay.

    Blondestar

http://www.broadcastdialogue.com/video/blondestar.wmv I just had to share this.
  10. No matter what you use to Wax, Polish etc... Dust, Pollen, etc... Will always be seen on the black car [ I own 2 of them ] So dusting is the only way to keep them looking good. No matter what color the car is the same amount of buildup occurs, It just can't be seen as well on say silver or white, But it's there. So in reality all cars should be cared for in the same way and frequency. My opinion. ;)
  11. YOU USED THE BRUSH ??? After the last guy used it to scrape the gravel out of his pickup bed. NEVER USE THE BRUSH !!! NEVER :chairshot: ....................... Don't they have a 1/2 price tuesday ? Or? :whistles:
  12. rotglmao!!!! ← Wow, $2.00 for a car wash, Was it well lit? Where lets hear all the details [ no pun intended ] Really nice bird!
  13. There is a thread in the ES forums that covers this dogbone issue[ ES and RX just about the same ] Some guys rebuild the bushings with a 3M product and put a washer in the mount to reduce the wear. It saves some $$$ Hope this helps ;)
  14. Well, Is it officially stripped ?
  15. Does your headunit have a cd button? If it does then all you need is the wiring harness and the cd changer OEM. If no cd button you have to switch the headunit to one that has a cd button, That is if you want to stay stock OEM.
  16. I strip the 10 MM hext hole. And no, I didn't drain the gear oil. :whistles: ← Are you sure it is stripped? Clean out the 10mm hole and spray some wd-40 in there then tap the 10mm socket into the hole until it hits bottom then remove.
  17. My advice is to search these forums as this topic has been covered over and over.
  18. Locate the drain plug for the tranny and drop it like you would for a oil change, Let it drain and replace the plug and fill through the dipstick about 2 quarts. Differential is the sane except for there is a fill plug that has to be loosened before the drain plug both are 10mm allen. remove the fill pluf then remove the drain plug , Let it drain. replace the drain plug and you will have to pump the gear oil back in until it starts to overflow. Replace the fill plug and your done. ← Thanks, DC! ← No prob. ;) Don't forget to clean the magnet on the drain plug. ← Once again! I would NOT just drain the fluid and replace on an older GS. There are over 10 quarts of fluid in the tranny, you're only replacing about 2. GO have it flushed at a reputable shop!! ← If the tranny has been maintained properly a drop and fill is all that is needed. Flush and fill ? You might as well do that everytime the service is performed, I don't think so. ← http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=24298&hl= Read this thread, This is what happened when he got his tranny FLUSHED.
