I'm with you on the wheel thing, They ruin the ride, Look ghetto, Although there are a few choice wheels that accent the car but still ruin the ride intended by the mfgr. But it is to each her/his own. I'd rather have slabsides than the guardrail side pontiacs/mitsu's
  3. I don't need to look for some other thread to tell me that RWD is more sporty, and that FWD is better in snow. But, you're going to have a difficult time convincing me that I should worry if my drive-train is respected. :P Sorry for the poor choice of the word , But you get what info I was conveying :P
  4. Go ahead and torque those bad boys into the head, Then report back when you change them out.:whistles: Get OEM plugs and enjoy the ride....
  5. The ES is the ONLY FWD lexus sedan. The Avalon and Camry BOTH are FWD. Huge differences in cold, snowy weather performance compared to old, ancient RWD. (My opinion since I lioved in VT for 30 years) If you liver in a sunny clime you may not ever appreciate the FWD advantages. Not to mention gas mileage! I get 22 city 30+ mpg on the road. LS is a gas hog by comparison. Alank22181, 2004 ES330, ruby red, with Nav premioum pkg. RWD is world class, FWD is not as respected. There is a thread on this topic. You'll have to search it out.
  6. Happy sailing, I'm sure you are equiped with the wind. ROTFLMAO

  9. Yeah, All is good in the listening, I was jammin to a little van morrison today and yesterday I was doing sinatra, It is a little early to listen to the christmas tunes. Maybe on the 11th, 2 weeks prior to the big day. Have any of you been christmasing already ???
  10. Been following this and an intake mod on any lex is not needed, After all the research toyota does on there automobiles they really have reached the apex in there designs, That being said the only gains in installing an aftermarket intake is to impress yourself. The viable option is to vein induce, Superchargers/turbos and nos being the last resort. It all looks cool when you pop the hood but that is up to you............
  11. Go ahead and torque those bad boys into the head, Then report back when you change them out. :whistles:

  15. Wow, you're part of the management team group and you have 10,571 posts.......And I get that reply? I have been reading a lot of posts on this board and thought they were quite helpful. How does that help? What was the point of replying at all? I think I've figured out why they quoted you the $125 instead of the discounted price. You float that kind of attitude towards people, and you'll get the horns. If you can't handle a $125 repair in general, then you've purchased the wrong car. You need a Chevy Cavalier that you can take to your local knock-off auto part store and buy any part you need. The reason why you probably received the reply you got from SK is simply because your question had already been answered with the best possible answer in general. Unless you want to shop the junk yards. Trust me, trust US, if there were a better answer to your question than the one CUman posted, SK would know that answer, and would have posted it up for you. But now...well....you owe the man an appology, as that was just a stupid and arrogant reply to his post. If you don't like our help....hit the dealership, they'll be more than happy to "hook" you up. Edit: Just saw your appology..... Good man Much better ;) Now back to the problem @ hand- Do you want a new mirror ? Or a replacement ?
  16. Wow, you're part of the management team group and you have 10,571 posts.......And I get that reply? I have been reading a lot of posts on this board and thought they were quite helpful. How does that help? What was the point of replying at all? You post to this board looking for help and then you slam SK, Why don't you go out and figure out this problem on your own ? :chairshot:
  17. These would be my choice : http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...yes&place=0 And my second choice : http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...yes&place=3

  19. Get rid of the bosch wires to start and get OEM, Get the codes read when the CEL is on. Your o2 sensors probably need replacing.
  20. "and not the taco-bell kind" Maybe the cheeto/beer kind.
  21. I thought of retapping but a tap needs to go past the end of the rotor to work due to the taper and there is the hub behind it. I don't think I can take off the hub assy with the rotor attached. You should be able to start the tap, Then get or mfg. a flat nosed tap to continue through the rotor. American ingenuity won wars.....................
  22. Hell, I remember when gas was 32.9 cents. WTF happened ???
