  1. 01 GS 430, 50,000 miles on it, totaly 100% stock. Last 15 tank fulls have averaged 22.4 MPG. 65% freeway, 35% city. 92 Octane Shell V-Power is all I run in it. :)
  2. How many miles on it? Do you have maintenance records? Is it a CPO car from Lexus? All these will factor in on problems, or not. How it was taken care of is Key!!! But it is a great car!!!!!!!
  3. I have a 01 GS 430 and it does NOT buss either. Kind of annoying, especially when driving in the fog during the day, lights on and forget to turn them off.
  4. HI, I recently had a battery problem. MY wife likes to listen to the radio while she eats her lunch rather than eat in MDs or where ever. My car would not start so she called me to come check it out. When I got there, sure enought, would only turn over slowly, then not at all. While I was waiting for AAA. I was checking out the lights, radio etc. I do not have Nav, but as far as the radio, heater controls, and anything in that area, it would only work intermitenly. Kind of like it had a mind of its own. One minute it would work, next minute DEAD. Since I repalced the battery, everything is fine. Your battery my need replacing, after all, its at least 4 to 5 years old. Maybe older, who knows how long it sat on a shelf before it was installed in your car. :(
  5. What kind of problems are you having playing those type of discs? I make my own discs with the type music I like, and have no problem playing them on my stock CD changer.
  6. Give your Lexus Technical advisor a call, they should be able to advise you on that. I know on some cars, the sensors are built into the valve stems. Don't know how the new Lexus are designed. :)
  7. Thanks, I will check out their web site. :)
  8. Nice, but where did you get that cool little wing on the back? I like it better than the larger/heavier one. Thanks, Oly :)
  9. Thanks for the tip, I'm sure it will help someone with a similiar problem!!!
  10. What are you talking about??? 250 per tank?? In the furture, please proof read your questions, or explain in a little more detail.
  11. Thanks a whole bunch for the update. I will be sure and include shims when I replace the pads, as I also have the annoying clunking when applying the brakes.
  12. Good for you!!!!! They sure want to charge a person for every little thing, but trying to get things done under warranty, thats a different question. I have been fighting with my East side dealer about what I consider warranty issues, but I just keep getting the run around and excusses.. Red carpet treatment before the sale, just try and get something fixed under warranty with out extra charges.... Good luck......
  13. Get that thing replaced, NOW .... That one is dangerous to drive on. Don't take a risk and let it blow and posssibly damage your rim, or if your going fast enough, your nice car......
  14. I am looking for a quality repair facility in the Seattle area. Doesn't matter if its a Lexus dealer, a toyota dealer or independent shop. Just want some one to be fair, honest, do the job correctly the first time. Anyone that has had good experiences with a shop, I would appreciate hearing from you. I need general maintance and soon some brake pads replaced. I have 43,000 miles on the car at this time.
  15. I couldn't agree more, the GS is a superior automobile. But it gets real frustrating when you can't get your car fixed. Your lucky, you hooked up with a great service department.
