  1. Ther is not a line to this tank. I just removed it to get to a sensor on the transmission.
  2. Steveski is correct. I paid the money and only found owners manuals. Is ShortLongA a bot for Lexus????
  3. I have a 07 rs350, Leus of Austin replaced it with no questions last month.
  4. This is a common problem when you live in the country with unpaved roads. After a heavy rain we noticed the floor mat was wet. The drain tubes had become clogged. Lexus has a special too (probably a coat hanger) to clean them out. Lexus of Austin fixed the problem, detailed the car gave a loaner overnight and NO COST! Gotta love them.
  5. i took my 2007 RX350 to Lexus of Austin. The issue is covered under a recall. They replace both, detailed and gave me a 2016 RX400h loaner and no cost. Got to love them.
  6. I bought a 2007 rx350, 61,000 miles, Crystal White, for my wife for Christmas. Had to replace the 1999 rx300 270.000 miles tranny going out. before I bought it I checked this site for problems for this model and year. The headlight assembly was the major issue. I learned that Lexus has issued the replacement warranty. Bought the car for $15,000. Washed the car which caused the drivers headlight to condensate. I took it to Lexus of Austin. They replaced both headlight assembly's. Also fixed a couple of minor issues for FREE!!!! Of course they gave my wife a 2015 rx450 hybrid for a loaner car. Nice ride just under powered. Love Lexus of Austin. I have been dealing with them for 13 years. Always HAPPY!!
  7. Forgot to mention No CEL, No Codes.
  8. More shifting issues. 1999 RX300, 268,000 miles Starts, runs, shifts great until 6-8 miles from house. I let the car get to NOT before driving. Tranny shudders and shifts out of o/d when I accelerate for passing. Goes into 1st. I can manually shift into second and get home. Disconnect the battery for a while and it is fine until the 6-8 miles mark. Checked, cleaned and replaced all VSV, MAF, IACV, A/F, PCV, front oxygen sensor, Bank 1 Knock and connector in the past year. Complete plenum cleaning. Tested the vapor canister and related sensors. Checked and replace any bad vacuum hoses except what is above the fuel tank. Two new gas caps. Tranny flush and new filter. Seems like a ECM issue. Is reprogramming a possibility?
  9. More shifting issues on the RX300. While driving in overdrive about 6-10 miles, engine completely warmed-up, no cel, no codes, Engine goes into 1st gear, high rpm's. I can shift into manual 2nd. Transmission has been tested by reputable shop. No tranny problem. I have tested all of the VSV's, Vapor canister, Inspected all hoses except above the gas tank. Replaced the gas cap twice. No change. It runs perfect until it kicks out of gear. after it has done this, when I shift into reverse it is very hard and abrupt. Also, when removing the gas cap I don't hear the air rushing into the tank. The hose from the air filter is connected on both ends. HELP! I am tired of throwing parts at it.
  10. 1999 RX300, 260,000 miles. replaced A/C compressor, knock sensor, timing belt and water pump, oxygen sensor, both valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gasket and all plugs. Right now I am replacing the cooling fan assembly and radiator. The passenger side fan blade came off the mounting hub and tore up the radiator.
  11. Never replaced the fan, Instead I replaced the relay $22. no problems since. Thanks!
  12. Code - P0171, P0125, P0330, P1150, P1155. I am certain one problem triggers multiple codes. I have cleaned the MAF with CRC maf cleaner. New air filter, thoroughly disassembled and cleaned intake throttle body, IACV, throttle position sensor, checked all hoses for damage, cleaned with electrical cleaner all connectors, cleaned and swapped the speed sensors in transmission.. I will run ohm check on the air fuel ratio sensors. Can a faulty PCV cause these codes? Car has 254,000 miles. All maintenance performed per mfg. recommendations. Love the car just tired of chasing codes. Transmission periodically not shifting into overdrive is what started this challenge. This forum is the best in the industry as I have two other makes of vehicles. Their forums are lacking.
  13. Please speak English. Is the sensor bad, needs cleaning or throw the hunk of s**t (speaking of the car) in the metal recycler.
  14. You have described my problem perfectly. I almost replaced the compressor. Thought it was strange that the fan nearest to the compressor would cycle off and on. The a/c clutch would engage as the fan engaged. Yes tapping on fan prompted it to operate. Works intermittently. Will replace fan ASAP! I live in Texas and use the A/C 11 months a year.
