  1. i have the aladdin 2000, remote start, trunk opener, 2 shock sensors, etc.. my friend who is an audio installer did it for me, hes done this alarm on many cars, so i trusted him a lot - he did it in about 5 hours...it was a !Removed! to do <_<
  2. ahh yes..the auxilary box.....built and used for absolutely nothing :whistles:
  3. aus - since you dont have a big enough oven, you could use a heat gun and pry it open
  4. the one on yahoo is the only one i think...ive searched high and low, but good luck
  5. whoa...if theyre giving you $200...i wonder what theyre charging the customers!
  6. i put in a sony mp-70 in my 97 (same gen as yours), it is doable but ill tell u bluntly - its a !Removed!..lol but its worth it! heres some pics - http://www.cardomain.com/id/hoebag - oh yea..there arent any din kits available for the 2nd gen es300, so youd have to get a custom one done, pics of mine r on that link
  7. front & back strut replacement is normal after that many miles - dunno bout the rest though
  8. theres a full evo body kit for the 97-01 es300, but its fiberglass
  9. theres some screws underneath & behind the foglight to keep it in place, it pulls right out, u can take the housing out and change the bulb that way, thats what i did anyway, i have a 97 es300, so urs might be diff if its a mcv10 or mcv30
  10. i got 18x7.5 Enkei DM5 with Yokohama ES100 tires 225/40ZR18 88W http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view...d=243266&page=2 <--pics

  12. well, i bought this 97 es300 grill a long time ago from a junkyard, it was layin around in my garage n i forgot all about it...i cut off the bars n was thinkin of puttin bondo on it to smooth out the edges and just have it look like a shell type thing...anyway...forgive the crappy quality of the pics (webcam - cant find digicam) & gimme some ideas!!! http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES/n4 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES/n5 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES/n6
  13. i have a k&n stock replacement filter right now. which one would be better for performance? better for gas mileage? anything else i should consider if i keep the k&n?
  14. its behind the glove box, remove the glove box & youll see it in plain view
  15. its just a resistor - from what ive heard it causes more harm than good
  16. My friend is a car audio installer, he did everything for me for $400 (he provided the radio)...I was VERY happy with the results. But if you don't do it yourself, a shop will charge you an arm and a leg for a custom plate - & mine did sink in, I've fixed that since the pics were taken.
  17. I have the Sony MP70 in my 97 ES300 - looks & sounds great, better than the stock headunit. It also plays mp3 cds - a big plus for me. There aren't any mounting plate kits available for the 97+ ES300 (trust me, ive been looking for years, but correct me if I'm wrong). I suggest getting one made - I had a custom plate made for mine and had it wrapped in matching tan vinyl - people have had nothing but good things to say about it - just looks great. But anyway, go with the sony headunit with a custom mount - its your best bet. Oh yea - when you install it, you're gonna have to bypass the amp (it's a big !Removed! to do so); the amp is located behind the glove box - so you're gonna have to take that off too...have fun!
  18. check the lip & eyebrows out - i wanna see these cars in person
