How can I be cheap by using conventional or a blend when I'm chastised for pouring money down a rat hole by changing oil more often?:cries: I didn't mean to call you cheap, and you do have a good point...$1 for a conventional quart of oil, and $5 for sythetic...It's the filters that are going to cost you more.... Let me rephrase my statement... If your Lazy and cheap like me go with Sythetic....If your not lazy and are a consumer by nature then go with conventional oil.... Is that bettter said?

Yeah with sythetic's you don't need to change the oils as regularly as conventional..However, it gets dirty and black and that can have effects on the engine over time which most don't consider... So it is an on going debate.. With convention oil your oil changes are every 2000 miles, this keeps the oil filter changed regularly and your oil will not be jet black in color either which is good... In 2000 miles conventional oil do not break down in oil viscosity so it is the same as sythetic as far as I am concerned..... Sythetics hold longer but is not necessarily the better choice over time... There are some great oil conditioners that should be considered also like Smooth says....... I am lazy and use sythetics...My car rides too low to pull into oil changing stops in my area, and I just hate getting under the car and jaking it up myself just to change the frigg'n oil and filter... I go 10,000 miles on sythetic and my oil is black, but I also use a good oil conditioner too.......

Good question...Just run a new lead... I pretty sure the power comes from thre fuse box.... I had a simular ignition problem.. Good luck

Well the reason I stick the head lamps in the oven is to loosen the glue that holds in the Lense... After 15minutes in oven at 400 degrees the lense just peels right off... Then you can work on cleaning the inside of the lense that is all oxidized and an eye sore... After cleaning the lamps you use silicon sealer that you can buy at any autoparts store and reinstall the headlamps in place... Let it dry and reinstall the headlamps on the SC400 and front end looks soo much better... Cristal clear headlamps do wonders for the cars looks... I did mine a few years ago and am about to do it again...

Dudes, I use to be a car dealer.... I check all the papers and advertising avenues and can find 1992 SC400 all day long for anywhere from $2000 to $4500 tops... Some 92-96's are dirt cheap too... You guys need to look at Craigs list, recycler.com and cartrader.com...Look in the Los Angeles, California area...Zip code 90402 within 100 miles and you will see what I am talking about... I have the cleanest 92 SC400 on the planet, new interior, new paint and everything works...It's as fast as a new Vette and I dought I can get much more the $7500 or so... I'm into it for $20,000 including the purchase price of $8000 6 years ago... A little hint to make your cars look like new...Remove the headlights, stick them in the oven and remove the lenses and clean the inside of the lenses with plexi glass cleaner...Reseal and Reinstall and the front end of your SC's will look like new...

I do not know the answer... I do know if my 92 SC4 timing belt snaps there will be damage...That is all I know.... I would like to know more about this...Like I said this is the one topic I cannot speak intellegently about...
