Sirius will not plug and play into the nav display in the LS460. The XM that comes standard has a seperate ECU that is wired into the muliplex system of the car. You can't install Sirius like other Lexus models due to the configuratation of the LS460's AVC/LAN system. You will have to go aftermarket and use a FM modulator.

You won't get more than 1.4 miles on the battery alone.

Is the system being drawn into a vacuum before recharging? How much oil is being added?

Any dealer can pull up any work performed by any dealer. TSIB's or otherwise. Each TSIB has the time/mileage term printed on it for how long it's honored , 4/50,6/70, or more for emissions warranty.

Sounds like water trapped in the heater core. Remove the radiator cap and warm up the engine, heater on with a funnel in the radiator to purge out the air

You can replace just the wheel studs. Why do you need the whole hub? Is the bearing bad?

With the window all the way up and the regulator and motor unbolted, use a small screwdriver and pry betweeen the door skin and the regulator. It will pop out.

If the noise is from the "tilt" part of the column, which is most common, the loosen the preload on the tilt assembly. The "hex" nut is a 6mm i think, back it off about 1-1.5 turns and lube the worm gear. That should eliminate the noise.

Common for the heat shields on the catalytic converter's to crack around the bolt holes causing a buzz/ rattle. There was a TSIB for this.

More than likely the MAF is the problem. Can you get access to the datalist and read it?

That's good that they found the problem. There is an oring for the metal water bypass tube that pulls water from the heater core into the water pump. Make sure that they change that oring as the water pump may not be the only leak. I've seen many people neglet to change it or it gets push off as a new water pump is installed, causing a "leaking water pump"

Machining the rotor on the car is possible, and in my opinion the best way to do it. You eliminate all the hardware and brake lathe arbor problems that many not give you a "true" finish.

Sensor is on the dash, round shape, at the edge of the defrost vent. Might be covered up.

I have a 1990 that has had the typical repairs, t/belt, p/s pump, pulleys, and some suspension items. Got over 350,000 miles now and has never broken down. Best car I have ever owned.

I do work for a dealer and have installed many of these hitches. The biggest thing is to make sure you have the tow prep package, if not you won't have a trans cooler, high output alternator, or the towing harness convertor.

The wire harness comes with the hitch inside the box. You need to run it through the the L/R floor area through a rubber grommet and it plugs in to the left side of the tool tray. The tray has to come out and the harness is taped behind the carpet trim panel. It's a lot of work, but you'll need to remove to 2 storage boxes that have the spring loaded covers, left side storage box, tool tray, and possibly the L/R carpet lower trim to find the vehicle side wire harness.

I've done it a many times. Here's a PDF for engine removal, it's not what you're doing but has some steps on the cowl removal. Just make sure to use to Toyota/Lexus FIPG on the corners of the head when you put the valve covers back on.

You are supposed to bend the tab away and pry out the seal.

If you can get a infrared thermometer that would be great, measure the top and bottom of the radiator to see if working. Then measure the temp of both hoses coming in and out of the engine. If all this happened after the thermostat R&R I would suspect it could be a crap-!Removed! quality thermostat. Or air still in the system. I would run the car with the cap off for at least 10 minutes at 1000-1500 rpm with the heater on to ensure all the air is out.

It's in the LH quarter panel trim. Under the window. You'll have to take out the back seat and drivers seat belt to get the panel off. It's called a fuel pump ecu, the dealer should have no problem getting you a part.

To re-initialize the roof, hold "slide close" until the roof goes through all the positions and it will be back to the 1 touch operation.

The heater control valve is bolted to the firewall, on the passenger side. Has black hoses connecting to it, one from the rear water bypass delivering hot water to it, and another leading from the valve into the firewall to deliver hot water to the heater core. I have atteached a pdf of this. The rear water bypass is on page 3 of the STARTER pdf.
