  1. That's good that they found the problem. There is an oring for the metal water bypass tube that pulls water from the heater core into the water pump. Make sure that they change that oring as the water pump may not be the only leak. I've seen many people neglet to change it or it gets push off as a new water pump is installed, causing a "leaking water pump"

  2. The wire harness comes with the hitch inside the box. You need to run it through the the L/R floor area through a rubber grommet and it plugs in to the left side of the tool tray. The tray has to come out and the harness is taped behind the carpet trim panel. It's a lot of work, but you'll need to remove to 2 storage boxes that have the spring loaded covers, left side storage box, tool tray, and possibly the L/R carpet lower trim to find the vehicle side wire harness.

  3. If you can get a infrared thermometer that would be great, measure the top and bottom of the radiator to see if working. Then measure the temp of both hoses coming in and out of the engine. If all this happened after the thermostat R&R I would suspect it could be a crap-!Removed! quality thermostat. Or air still in the system. I would run the car with the cap off for at least 10 minutes at 1000-1500 rpm with the heater on to ensure all the air is out.
