  1. Hey guys, I work at an NTB store and we set all tires(low pro's included) to between 28 to 35psi. The only ones we fill up 40 to 50psi are the heavy truck tires. Ex. I did 4 tires 235/45/17 on an EVO today and set them at 32psi. Ryan
  2. UPDATE: I got the car back yesturday and was brutally suprised. The morons at the body shop ordered the 95-96 bumper apparently then they proceded to accuse me of being wrong! They were like, "this is the 97 front bumper, its what you ordered." I know for sure they are wrong because theres no grill and my turn signal lamps still fit. :chairshot: I know this is a stupid question and I know the answers no but is there some kind of "action package" or something, at least thats what they told me! Worst of all, they forgot to get my brand new drivers side headlight that was on the workorder. The paint job looks good at least lol. Anyways, think twice when you see a central auto body and all its pretty signs and custom painted cars out front. They SUCK!!
  3. Depending on the condition of my factory flywheel(135k miles), I may have to replace it. Does the clutch kit come with a pilot/throwout bearing?
  4. Yeah, I have the w154 tranny, looks like I'm gonna have to save up a little. Any recommendations on flywheel?
  5. Sounds like you want a more aggressive clutch which is not really what I want. I did a little more research on that feramic and heres what I found: "This is a brand new clutch compound that is capable of withstanding very high pressures with no chatter. It is incredibly slippable, and engages very close to stock. Shifting gears is like cutting melted butter. This identical clutch with 6-speed splines is on the HPF supra, and easily handles 800rwhp." Sounds interesting, I'd like to hear from someone who has one.
  6. I figured someone would ask that, I dont want a factory clutch because i dont want the stock feel of a lexus, like soft and comfortable. I want more the feel of a supra in lexus form: I already have espilar/ tokico setup and I'm getting daizon urethane bushings for everything. I love how the sc handles!! Plus, isnt the factory clutch more expensive then aftermarket ones? Is feramic better than ceramic? I've never heard of that before.
  7. My clutch recently started slipping so I guess its time for a new one. I want one with a little extra grip then stock without being to stiff; Any suggestions?
  8. Good info, thanks! They actually gave me an estimate of the 93 bumper cover for $384.41 so I'll be saving money!
  9. Thanks jzz30, I'm calling the body shop right now. You think the 97+ bumper will cost more than the 93?
  10. Sounds like the window motor went out; common problem on these cars with high miles.
  11. Hey guys, I was recently envolved in a minor front end collision where my front bumper cracked in the center and my drivers side headlight is scratched. My body shop gave me an estimate of $1,470. My question is will the 97+ front bumper fit on a 93 sc300 with no major modifications? Any extra parts required like bumper beams? I was considering an aftermarket front bumper but I really haven't seen a full front bumper that looks decent for this car except maybe vertex but its too low for daily driving. Also, instead of replacing the headlight, I'm going to try to get some 97+ sideskirts and just sand and reseal the light myself(its not scratched too deep). Let me know what you guys think! Thanks, Ryan
  12. You hook a scanner up to your cars computer and it tells you problem codes. Dumb question but did you check fluid level?
  13. I paid $7400 for mine with 130k, keep looking you'll find one
  14. I guess you guys don't like the sc's acceleration and handling :whistles:
  15. The wheels look to big for the car, not feelin' it ............. just my opinion though!
  16. :chairshot: You shouldn't be asking the guys at pep boys for advice anyways!! LOL
  17. You probably want to go with the same size piping as the inlet on the mufflers. I've heard removing the y-pipe gives some power but I'm not to sure. You shouldn't lose any low end because your catalitic converter is still there creating backpressure.
  18. Cool, I didn't know that, any idea where I could purchase one?
  19. Just wondering what front lip this is, I've never seen it. http://www.clublexus.com/gallery/showphoto...cat/502/page/13
  20. Soardrift, please post pics when your finished!! ;)
  21. The dealer was charging so much because they drain out ALL the oil including the stuff in your torque converter. By draining just the pan, like someone said above, your only taking out approx. 25% of the old oil. The torque converter requires a special tool to drain.
  22. Sorry to pirate this post but just wondering SK, whats that silver car in your avatar? You have any more pics?
