  2. My 1992 SC400 has the best of me..Key will not open either door..Have checked all fuses. Sat here and went thru the whole owners manual. The drivers door actuator seems not to swing all the way open...My wife has a key(she's on the outside) and she cannot get it to unlock the doors.....Can I/her disable something so the key will work.. The key turns both directions, I can here the door actuator clicking...help! I spent most of the day, reading any post regarding "Key will not unlock EITHER door, and inside passenger door handle does not open that door. I have searched back to Augest 2003..plus, using search, with any number of combinations describing my issue. And previous post, with no results. I appreciate SK's suggestions, and after reading pages of his previous posts/advice..I surley don't know how he missed mine the first time..This is my first Lexus- not my first car club w/forum. Quick draw! I find it hard to believe that both doors cannot be opened with a working key that turns in both directions and activates (maybe)the door actuator..not fully however.God forbid, I leave my grandson inside and my battery goes dead for one reason or another. As I stated in my first post the passenger door will not open from in or out.((broken part) The drivers door works from inside only..The key just doesn't by pass the system. Thanks JD. Sounds like a good next move.
  3. Take all this free advice..starting with the cap and rotor......sure wish I had gotten same..I spent $625.00 on installing all 3 cats on my 1992 SC400..IT still runs like yours...
  4. It only cost me $625.00 to replace the three cats on my 1992 SC400.. Sure wish you had sent your problem in SOONER........I would have taken all this free advice and saved $$$$$$$$$$ as my car STILL runs the same.. cap & rotor NEXT!
  5. My 1992 SC400 will not let me unlock the doors with the key..The passenger door will not open from in or out. I have read most past topics having anything to do with this topic.. and NEED some help please. This is what I have tried. Unlock both doors with a key. Open both doors from inside. Drivers door will open from inside. No on passenger side. Use the unlock/lock on both doors. (nope) Activate alarm/turn off. (nope) Look for switch to bypass either. Tried to dwnload link (cure for bad door switchs) nope. Thats as far as I have gotten and would like to use the key access, for now. Yes, the drivers door actuator appears not to fully open.. thanks for any direction you can point me. ps. Does anyone have info on injen? I have one on this 1992SC400 and the factory said they would mail me info..nope . Sluggish on take off.
