  1. Sounds like you have a good one there Brandon.
The main thing is that it has been maintained correctly over the years and everything was replaced when it should have been so it suggests a responsible previous owner.
As a result it shouldn't need anything much outside of routine maintenance

  3. Cost is always a big issue when it comes to marketing a new product (cost to make and retail price) but always has to allow for profit.
Good luck with refining the end product so that it is where it needs to be in the market, I guess every small refinement helps to balance it out

  4. I am a massive Slime fan....have used it for years in Motorbikes, Cars, Campers and never had a puncture (that I know of).

The only downside is it can lead to some dynamic wheel imbalance and also slight corrosion to the alloy rims but nothing that cannot be sealed by the Slime

So my question is, could the throttle position sensor have to do with my low idle, or did it trigger a failsafe somewhere in the ECM that told it to just keep running, no matter what.

The ECU would have a default preset to keep the engine idling (albeit low or high speed over the standard RPM)

  6. You may be best to remove it one wire at a time and see how that affects the rest of the car.

I have done this before and ended up removing a whole aftermarket system to put back to standard and also done it where upon removing the wiring and came across the fault.

  7. Wow! that's incredible workmanship Dave and great engineering and design.
The trouble with watch boxes is that they take up a huge amount of space and your design is sleek which is how people want things nowadays I guess

  8. Watches, especially with mechanical movements are such things of beauty!

I only have mechanical watches as I find quartz watches fail on me more than mechanical.

Would like to see the device you have created to wind the watches, have seen many mechanical watch winders but not many that change rotation as most just spin in one direction which is not good for the movement..

  9. I would imagine there is either a drain on the battery by having a dead short (e.g. oxygen sensor touching the exhaust, melted through and shorted wiring.
The issue with the battery and even possibly the alternator is something which you need to resolve before going any further with sensors and actuator replacement as this may be causing these issues.

If in doubt it would be worth getting the car taken to a local garage to diagnose the vehicle charging fault and go from there
