I just finished installation of my iPhone integration kit and dock. It took longer than I had expected, like several weeks, mainly because VAIS, who makes the integration unit, uses a video pin to integrate with the Nav screen, and 2Point5, who makes the dock, does not. The dock was one of the main things I wanted, and I was disappointed that it would not work. I contacted Matthew Turner at 2Point5 and told him my problem, and he totally took care of me. Even though it was not his company's fault for the problem, he paid for me to ship him the dock back and also my VAIS unit. At his own expense, he made me a custom dock, using the VAIS cable, so it would work directly with my iPhone, and put a connector in the cable to ease installation. He did all of this over the holiday weekend and got it back to me yesterday. I have had some great customer service in my time, but this is tops in my book. I can recommend 2Point5 without reservation. They are a great company. I hope they make stuff in the future that I want, because I am a customer for life.

I'd say you were misled. Sounds like you asked twice and were told it was fully loaded and had all features. Now you find out it doesn't. I'd complain.

I can't even get on to Club Lexus from my work computer. It's blocked for some reason.

What's the point of getting a hybrid if it doesn't give you any better fuel economy?

I don't know of any setups where an iPhone will play wirelessly through BlueTooth. I don't think the iPhone will do that, but I could be wrong. craignhp, you said through the BT port. If you are plugging something into a port, then you are not using BlueTooth, but rather the USB port. If the OP is trying to sync via bluetooth and then play music, I don't think that is an option.

I don't really need this car to be track ready, but I'd like a little better cornering performance. I was looking at these strut bars and wondering if they are any good, and if so, if they will work for me. Also, i was not planning on doing the back, just the front. Will that make a difference? A little assistance here would be appreciated. The author of that article is an idiot. He lives in NY and wants to say we are a "Nation" of horn honkers? I live in Austin, TX, not exactly a small place, and can go for weeks without hearing anyone use a horn, including in very heavy traffic. If there is a horn used, it is usually a short bleep to tell the guy zoning out in front of you that the light is green. In NY, however, you can't walk half a block without hearing them. This is typical of dorks who live in NY and LA, thinking that they know what the rest of the USA is like.

That sucks. Looks almost like someone's knee. It looks like whatever hit it was moving backwards and pushed up the metal. There is no scratch, so it was covered in something soft. Hope you get taken care of.

Will these fit an IS or only an RX?

Don't know if this is the proper place to post, but is there a way for me to configure forums to put threads with new posts at the top rather than list them in chronological order of when they were started? I don't want to have to scroll through 100 pages every time I want to see if a new post has been made. Most other forums I'm a member of allow me to do this. When a thread has a new post, it pops up to the top. Thanks. PS, clicking on NEW POSTS doesn't help since that shows ALL new posts on the board, and I'm not interested in new posts for the GS club since I don't have a GS.

Does anyone have directions on how to remove the glove box in an IS 250? I'm trying to install the VAIS SL2iC iPod integration unit, but it won't fit behind the Nav. If I could remove the glove box, there is plenty of room there and it would be perfect. Please let me know. Pics would be great too. Thanks.

I had this same problem. If you turn the instrument cluster light all the way to the right till it clicks, it turns the day mode on, no matter what.

That drip catcher additional swipe with the windshield wipers is awesome. One of my favorite features. I think it is customizable, though, so you may ask the dealership to turn it off or change the settings.
