Hi I found the bank 1 sensor 1, it is near firewall on exhaust manifold right? been trying to get it to come out but its in there really tight and i only have pliers One question, which way should i be pushing it? If i am standing at driver's seat, pull it towards me? Or against me?

Hello I had CEL today, so I went to autozone and got the code and bought a bosch oxygen sensor (The one that isn't universal but fits in) it was $160. my question is, should i change it out immediately? Or can I drive until the weekend with broxen o2 sensor? Reason I don't want to change it now is if i screw up, I won't be able to get to work and make any money and buy any food! Thanks

My speedometer needle gets stuck sometimes, before you do anything try smacking it and see if it gets freed up.

Hello I am thinking of changing my spark plugs and I am assuming I need to take this cover off, but I can't, none of my tools fit in there. I don't want to just rip it off either. Here is picture. And another question, is it bad to mix spark plugs? Can I just replace front 3 and do others in a month? Thanks in advance.

You send the cluster in! Car runs fine without it, just keep enough gas. Then they send it back with all the new needles, don't send it to them though without contacting first. Buying new one you probably have to use ebay, and it won't be new, just new to you.

I have done it before, pretty easy, you're right its part of radiator. For my 1995 es300 there were two hoses, the one towards driver's side was the transmission fluid one.

To go aftermarket panel probably have to reverse engineer the protocol lexus uses to send speed and all that, so basically you can't. Panel is pretty easy to take off if you just look at it. From inside on top here is plastics covers that cover screws, pop them off and use motorcycle !Removed! skills to unscrew them! I did it, was pretty easy. Needles probably would be harder to do but maybe once you look at it you can figure it out. There is also a pdf floating around that shows how to install a infrared black light thing and paint the needles fluorescent, you can find that and it has great instructions on taking panel off. Hello, I am looking for this part, mine is all scratched underneath and has bubbles the thing with the P R N D on it Question is where can I find it without paying a whole lot at dealership, they'd probably want me to buy entire console, on newlexusparts.com I couldn't find it, but that place is hard to find anything on. On the illustration for console its not listed. My car is 1995, will camry ones work or do they not have the ect button on it? Thanks!

Hello I got an ipod and cassete adapter Some old tape was in there and it wouldn't come out, eject didn't work and the tape wouldn't play, I pulled it out with lots of work and pliers. Then I put the cassete adapater in and plugged it to ipod and press "TAPE" It starts clicking, then I hear my song!!!!! Then it clicks again, stops, and I hear my song again!! Then just silence... Then after few seconds it switches to CD. What is wrong, is the mechanism really broken inside or am I doing something wrong? I pressed every single button, fast forward, rbc something else etc and it just kept doing that. Oh yea it also won't eject this one with eject button either. What makes me sad is that I know it can play it, since I hear a few seconds of the song when its clicking. Anyone else have same problem and fix it?? Also what are my options for putting in new headunit that has regular aux input? Don't need cds or radio or anything. I know i'd have to have a new surrounding case for it, are those only custom made? Also I've read that if you change one thing you have to change everything else on es300 because system is fine tuned. . I want to do that anyway because my back speakers don't work. How much would that be around, for just average system and new speakers and amp? I know its lots of questions but I been thinking about this last few days, I really want to play ipod songs in car, and don't want to use the radio thing. Would really appreciate if someone has done it tell me what they went through or if there is fix for tape. Thanks in advance!!

Hello I love the local dealership and it is really close to college and decided it would be nice to work there. Just want something simple like cleaning cars or stocking parts, since I have no experience and am not old, only 21. If anyone works there, I have two questions Do I have to wait until they are hiring or what should I do? Send them my resume or just go in there and ask about job? I will do this stuff on monday. Could not find anything on their website Also is it nice working there just like the cars, and would I get discounts on parts and stuff?

If you just look at it you can tell how easy it is to replace you can use basic socket wrenches. Hardest part for me was taking the contact things off since they were all corroded, might be same for you since its 1993. I was unscrewing the positive bolt and accidentaly touched some metal part with the tool and bam it sparked and scared me, so don't do that. Also make sure on new battery the + and - match up, might have to turn battery other way.

Not sure if its same problem as mine, but once in a while my speedometer needle won't move. Just Smacking the cluster from top gets it going.

Are you sure its a tape? In mine there is white thing that looks like its a tape but actually is part of the player.

Can't take car there since it won't start :[ Also I overexaggerated I think the shaking, its more like a lot of clicking and the instrument panel is what shakes the most.

Hello my car had no problems starting up and battery didn't seem dead. Now all of a sudden when I turn the key all i hear is a click, if I keep doing it, eventually it starts up just a little bit and starts shaking! Not a lot but more like jiggling I see the insides shake very scary. Could it be my battery, even though the lights work, or something worse? I don't understand the shaking most of all!

Hi I lost one of the shift knob screws (the two that are behind the little tabs on it). Searched forum and someone else did exact same thing! It fell into the wires. Now I only have one and I can't get the shifter to work right. I put the screw on and then I can't press the button, or I put the screw and I can't let go of the button. Is there some trick, does it have to be in certain position? Like D or R or N? Or do I need both screws for it to work? Thanks! 3/15/06 Got an update I found a screw that matches and was very happy, but I still can't get the gear shifter to work as before. The release button on the side of it still either stays locked when I screw it on or stays pushed in, I can't figure out at what level the white locker mechanism inside needs to be. Tried 10000 different variations though.

Hello I have a 1995 es300, I was checking out my engine today and turns out my air intake hose is cracked completely in half in the middle. So I did a temporary fix job with duct tape. I went to newlexusparts.com but could not find an 'air intake hose' anywhere! So I am wondering if it has a more proper name, and I put in a parts inquiry at taprecycling too, any other places I should look for it? Cheaper then dealership. Also if/when I get my new one I am wondering if there is anything special in replacing it. I didn't see anything too hard, just some black box on the side and regular hoses but in case there are any tricky parts can someone warn me? Pretty neat that car drives great with a part broken in half :P

On 1995 the odbii plug is in the fuse panel on driver's side right under the mirror + alarm adjustment nobs.

Probably not from the car then or from some other car.

Maybe it could be not the speedometer that is showing wrong speed but the laptop with the GPS?
