  1. It's under the hood.. it should be sticking out, you'll see it.
  2. What exactly is wrong with the ODO, is the screen just dead that displays it? The mileage is stored in the cluster as I've found out, I just turned my low mileage 120k cluster that didn't work for one with a working one at 180k.
  3. Yeah, as I did searches it said that if your brake lights weren't working that would cause the cruise control not to work. But it works fine. I'm still stuck with an inoperable unit.
  4. I have yet to discover a Cruise control fuse..
  5. One year later still have the problem, any new ideas?
  6. I've tried taking the battery out for a day, and reading the instructions, I would probably screw it up, so I just paid them $55 to reset it for me. Oh well it's gone now.
  7. The lexus dealership quoted me $55 to reset my airbag light after taking out the cluster. They apparently need to charge me for half an hour of labor. I don't want to do this manually, as I don't want to screw up my car's computer. Any other alternative?
  8. Tried doing a search, nothing that provided me with help. After walking away from my car today and hitting the lock button on my remote, I didn't hear my locks lock as I usually would. I went back to the car, pulled the handle, the alarm went off.... All the doors were still unlocked. When I tried to do it manually from inside the car, it would unlock fine, but would not lock. I hear some click coming from the glove box compartment, but any ideas would be appreciated. I have a 93 es300.
  9. I'm not talking about the button lighting bulbs. Though I changed without a problem. I'm talking about the 3 lights that are inside and behind the LCD which are soldered in.
  10. I decided to go into the radio and HVAC console as my volume knob slipped off it's alignment. I was planning on fixing the lighting problem I'm having. Here is my console: Console HVAC The area in the Red is what was lighting up before I started taking it apart. Green is what started working after I put it all together. What could have caused the switch? The three lights that are under the LCD screen can't be taken out, and I would have to bend the LCD screen all the way out to try and replace them. Is it just the connection? RADIO As you can see, it's pitch black. I took a picture of the PCB: PCB This is without the treble/bass knobs. Anyone know how to replace these small bulbs or what the part number is? -Question> What happens if I remove the blue condom from the lights?
  11. Well, only part of that is true is the stall, and srs light. I had that happen to me when I had my cluster removed. The srs light is easily resetable.
  12. There should be two little caps on the top of the cluster, pop the caps out and a screw will be revealed on both sides. Unscrew those, then gently pull it out so you can access the dimmer and odo/trip button plug.. Unplug those and then put it aside. The cluster should have 4 screws on each corner.. Unscrew those and then gently take it out. there is 3 sets of plugs in the back. Then ship it to Lextech. They do an awesome job.
  13. Same with me.. starts up at about 2000 rpm, and goes down to about 1000 a minute or two later.
  14. Is there a difference between unplugging the car's battery for about 30 minutes, then for about 8 hours? The reason I ask is, I'll need to reset my srs light, and I was told by leaving it unplugged overnight the diagnostic should reset.
  15. Well they said they double checked the wiring and nothing looked out of place.
  16. Hey all, I got a Code Alarm remote starter/entry system installed last week, and I've had nothing but problems with it. Going straight to my problem, after picking up my car and going back on the highway, I turned on cruise control, and it lit up on my cluster, and then I pressed Set Coast, and released the accelerator naturally thinking it would take the car. Then my car just started decelerating, so okay I think I must have missed it. I try Set Coast again, and nothing. None of the functions work. I took it back the next day, and they said that they do not come anywhere close to the cruise control wiring or system, and said it was purely a coincidence. They recommended I take it to the dealer for them to look at it. They did keep it for a few hours and claimed they took it on a road test, and it worked 2 out of the 5 times they tried. Somehow I'm not matching their results! I'm not going to go to the dealer because they will charge me a ridiculous amount for just looking at it. All the fuses are fine, and I'm pretty much dumbfounded. If anyone could help, it'd be appreciated.
  17. I paid about 7 bucks a piece for 4 bulbs to relight my hvac.
