  1. No offense to insurance companies, for they have never been found to take advantage of policy holders, especialy when it comes to assesing preminums and those generous settlments. The Affordable Health care Act does not come into full implmentation until the end of 2014. If your being charged 30% more for your premiums at this point with no increase in cost ( if there is that much were is it coming from and show me in public documents that they have to turn in to state, and prove to your state where the justification.
  2. Hi Patricia and welcome to the LOC! Should you decide to purchase the IS 300, IMO, I believe you'll be a lot happier. The Jag's of that era were known to have a lot of problems. My Lexus dealer for example, carries both Lexus and Jaguar. In addition to Infinity and Land Rover. So they have a wide range of experience with luxury cars. When I asked is I should buy a Jaguar, the service tech said he could'nt recomend it. Too many constant little problems. I say all this just to compare what may have been your experience with your XK. The IS is a great car with good reliability and a sports car feel and handling. It will not out perform A BMW sports series (5 series?) , but is total pperformance is what you need choose the new Lexus GS350. WoW, What cool and rocket of a car. Good luck on your choice. Let us know what you decide on. Paul
  3. I have a 2010 ES350 as well and have not had that problem. It really doesn't matter whether any one else has had the same problem, the important thing is to get it fixed at once. Since your ES is a 2010, it is still in warranty and will cost you nothing to get repaired. Let us know how you come out. Paul
  4. Hi Mannie, and welcome as well to the Club. There is a member of the Club who goes by "Cduluk", and knows about everything when it comes to the electronics of the Lexus dashes. However, I don't know about a a model of your year. I will send him a message and ask him to get in touch with you on this post. Paul
  5. Lexus beats all other brand in Infotainment technology. J.D. Power. Agree........Disagree? Whats your opinion? http://www.autoblog.com/2012/06/20/j-d-power-initial-quality-study-highlights-infotainment-woes-p/?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl8%7Csec3
  6. Your interpretation it would seem is that this is all about the exchanges, exchanges, exchanges! Remember, there are scores of provisions within the bill that affect more than just the insurance business. This is supposed to be about the patient, or future patient. Not what's in it for me..(the Insurance Co., the Congress People, the Pharmacy manf.).
  7. IMHO, these disscussions have finaly and definatly proven that we know a great deal about nothing, but will die with our sword's in our hand's defending our right to be as proud of being as ignorant as we choose. My ignorant opinion is that after all this election year assanation attempents, the Affordable Healthcare Bill will stay in place. The entire healthcare field has already, and is preparing for it's further roll out. Most importantly, even though the Republicans say their going to repeal it, what with? They have no bill drafted and if they plan on starting over after the first of the year, given the way Congress has worked these last several years, we would never come up with a healthcare plan.
  8. Hi M and welcome to the Club. I know you've had the RX330 for some time and your certainly not a novice. However, the number one cause of your problem is not the actuators/motors in the mirrors, but having left the mirror L/R switch in the middle position. If you toggle the switch to the left or right position, your mirrors will both function up and down, sideways and so forth. I would be very suprised if this isn't the problem. When you think about it, it would be pretty odd for both mirrors to develop the same problem at the exact same time. Good luck. Let us know if that solves your problem. Paul
  9. Hi Jason and welcome to the Club. It looks like you like the SUV models......A couple of great cars. Looking at the national weather map tonight, and it look's like it's good and hot in Nevada. You will find a lot of information in the RX and GS forums so feel free to post there whenever you want. Paul
  10. "New features/technology we hate". This is an interestting essay/overview about all the tech based features being added by all car makers. This writer says most of it isn't very good, or dosen't even simpllfy the task. You HAVE to have an opinion on these. For me, if I have to read more than 10 pages to learn how to use it, I'll wait for something enginered more elegantly. What do you think??? Give us your opinion. http://autos.aol.com/gallery/car-tech-we-hate/?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl10%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D175115
  11. Welcome! You didn't include the year of your IS350. When you post always include the model and year of your Lexus since things change within the same model from year to year. The easiest way to do this is to edit your profile. Paul
  12. Everyone here is going to be admitted to the E.R. soon if you don't take a deep breath and count to ten. That first Stroke can be a doozie. The disscussion(?) nets out to be not at all about whether the goverment can force you to buy something, it all ready does. And it is not about insurances exchanges, it's boiled down to a national shame argument. When G.W.Bush was Pres. there was much talk about doing away with the current Medicare and going to a voucher system. There was some back and forth in Congress and around the country, but ended up a little more than a burp. When Obama came in and began expaining his idea's for improving the healthcare system, Congress went wild. Remember, it was at this point that the congressonal Repulicals said on the House Floor. "Our only job for the next four years is to get Obama out of office". The Congress we have had since the election has done nothing except fight and throw tantrums. A class of 2nd graders could get more done. In the meantime, the nations hospitals, Insurance companies, and physicians, have been moving ahead at near Warp speed to streamline and reduce cost of delivery of services, but maintaining quality and copassion. Physicians and hospitals are forming employed relationships where the financial burden can be lowered and Pay for Performance can be implemented. My wife is a hospital administrator, and just finished their third software add-on/features upgrade. That one act will save the hospital hundreds of thousands of dollars and standardize communications with Medicare, Insurance co's plus system wide services. My point is that, the health care field knows the mess the country is in now, and also knows Washington is to busy trying make the other look bad that they won't do anything so it's up to them to lead the way. The shame part comes in because we have put up with all of this scam. How many of you who are business people would keep any one of these Senator's and Reperseative's on the payroll? Demorcrat or Republican, conservative or liberal, it is our sense of shame that we let this go on. And then our country gets to a point where only the rich can run for office, and the rich pay for the TV commercials and try to set their own agenda. Healthcare is changing faster than you think. But the one thing I left out above; where does the money come from? Demand that the President and all of Congress stop whining and help us,They are our employees!!. Paul
  13. Hi Jose and welcome to the the Club. The problem sure sounds like a fuse. First, do you have your owners manual or have you located their location for your model using the internet? You say that you have checked the fuse, but on some models there is a fuse block under the dash, and under the hood. Look in your owners manual if you already haven't, check the fuse's again. If that is not the problem, have it checked out by a Toyota dealer. Usualy cheaper than Lexus. Paul
  14. Hi Tim, and welcome to you and your wife to the Club. Sounds like you caught the "Lexus Love "Thang" "......lol You'll find like the rest of us that your first Lexus will impress you and keep on impressing you more and more. Good Luck' Paul
  15. David is right on. I went in and looked at the chat room in the "Rhapsody" music service. ALL, of the people posting threads in the chat room where complaing about the same thing. They cannot get their home burnt "CD"s to play in their car players. The car players wil not play mp3 format CD's. Unforunately, no one seems to know what format to record the home CD in to solve the problem. Apple will definately be no hel since all of there stuff is proprietary. Paul
  16. Toyota and BMW announce joint agrements to develop technology to be shared. (Can you see a combo BMW and Lexus dealership somewhere in the future?) BMWhttp://www.autoblog.com/2012/06/25/bmw-toyota-mulling-expansive-partnership/?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl21%7Csec3_lnk1%26pLid%3D172990
  17. Hi B. I can find the part on the diagram, but I can't find it using that part number. I would send them an e-mail and explain your problem. I don't know where you live, but a phone call may be better if your speaking english is better tnan you writing. Let us know how you come out. Paul
  18. Welcome Brooklyn. The Kelly Blue Book list the price from a dealer at a little over $21,000. If the car is in excellent condition. Sounds like a good price. You can find the KBB using Google. Paul
  19. Hello Ahmed, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. Let any of the other members know if you have any questions or if you have any information to contribute. I'm going to Google The United Arab Emerates to make sure I know where it is. Is it in the gulf region? Paul
  20. I thought you were home finally? Hey, no problem, just jump into your air conditioned LS460, turn on the air and cooled seats, and you'll be cool in a minute!!
  21. Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. I don't know the definative answer to your question. Most information says no. I would suggest that you do a search of our data base. I did a quick look and there is a LOT of info on exactly your topic. There does seem to be some changes on later model's that may allow for some streaming. Try entering "bluetooth streaming" in the search line, and choose to search "post" not "topic". Paul
  22. The Michelin MXV4 (not sure sure the letters are in the right order) is the best and most popular choice for the late model ES350. It excels in being smooth, quiet, good wear, and good control. You could also check Tire Rack for information and pricing. Paul
  23. You have a really good question. The first LX you drove, had the appearance, smooth driving and running, that is part of a well cared for car by it's previous owner. This is one thing that qualify's it to be sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Car.. The rest of the certification includes a thorough inspection of all the parts that need replacing at certain intervals, and safe levels of tire tread. Additionaly, The CPO provides a near bumper to bumper waranty for I think, three years. All of the carpet is shampooed and the oil and filter are changed. The second dealer you went too, was a joke, and their idea of CPO is moe like DUMB! Hope this helps. Paul
  24. Welcome to the LOC Kathy! I'm wondering, since this problem has gone on for so long, you might have a pproblem with the circuit that connects the brake and On/Off system. Either contact a Lexus dealer. or an independant shop that works on Lexus. Paul
  25. Hey Jason! Welcome to the LOC. Nice ride and good color. First hint for mining info as your browsing is to use our Search base. there is years of information in there and you can find a topic on about anything Lexus. As always, post other questions or information you think it will be help full. Paul
