Dear All, Hoping someone knows the answer. I used to be able to close (or open) all windows within 30 secs after I removed the key but for some reason, this function does not work anymore. If I start the car, I can control all windows and auto-up/down is working. I have had to replaced the 12v battery a few months back and I how to reset the windows setting. Thanks in advance.

Rewiring Tail Light From Mono To Dual
aus_rx400h replied to aus_rx400h's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
Just what I need to know. Sounds like it's more complicated then I had hoped for, ie. daisy chained. I reckon it would look really special if you can make it work. I like both lamps to lid up like the Nissan GTR R35 :). -
I was reading a preview of the new Toyota Prius 7 seater which uses a more advanced lithium-ion battery pack in lieu of the nickel-metal hydride unit and it says" "The technology, which is used on the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf, packs more punch in a small package - Toyota says the new lithium-ion battery pack is half the size but pushes out the same amount of power, and is seven kilograms lighter than a NiMH pack, at 34kg.Overall, the Prius V is 135kg heavier than the regular Prius hatch." I wonder if Lexus will offer a battery pack upgrade to the new lithium-ion for our RX400H. Not that they are cheap but for those who need to replace the battery, it would be nice to get the newer tech.

Rx400H Electric Motor Running... At Rest?
aus_rx400h replied to cduluk's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
I've noticed this behavior on mine too on the odd occasions but it does go away when I put a bit firmer pressure on the brake pedal. Once the energy stopped, u can ease off the pressure. -
Replacement Rim Wanted.
aus_rx400h replied to aus_rx400h's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
I guess I'm being paranoid here and have switched to the spare. I found a fine hairline crack about 1cm in length starting from the lip on the inner side of the rim. It's only a fine crack and is not leaking air. Just have to stop stressing about it!..:) -
Dear All, I'm after one original stock Rim for my rx400h in hyper silver color, 18x7. Preferably one in good nick. I'm staying cleared of 'remanufactured' rims as seen on ebay. Does anyone want to sell me one or know where I can get one cheaply? Best regards,

Rx400H "push Button Start" On Japan Models?
aus_rx400h replied to cduluk's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
I'm now so disappointed that Lexus didn't include this feature in the model update. My rx400h was manufactured in Japan in Feb 2008 and exported to Australia and the mildly update model is mostly cosmetics - blue badging, blue tint headlights, blue LED-lid door sills, black wood maple on steering and centre console. I would say the system is identical to the one in the 2006> Lexus GS450h. -
New Suv Tire From Bridgestone
aus_rx400h replied to aus_rx400h's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
Hi Everyone, This morning, I ended up putting on a set of Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport from my local tireshop so will see how they go over the coming weeks. From what I've read, these HPs are favourably reviewed on Tirerack and the price I got them for was too good to walk away. -
New Suv Tire From Bridgestone
aus_rx400h replied to aus_rx400h's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
There is a fellow owner who didn't like the Parada-X at all. Just when I was dead set on the Ecopias, I found another new released from Toyo called Versado CUV made specially for SUVs like ours. -
Hi Guys, I was set to order a set of Bridgestone Dueler Alenza for my RX400h from tirerack and came across this Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia I read on http://www.sportruck.com/news/Bridgestone-Dueler-H-L-422. Can't say I've heard anyone on here running this new tire but this looks like Bridgestone has upgraded their popular Alenza.

It's summer here so morning temperature is on average 20 degree or 68 degree Fahrenheit. Actually, now that I'm keeping an ear out, I notice that I'm only getting it on the odd occasion and the only time I hear it is when i start up the car, ICE runs for a minute and then switch off. Doesn't do it every time though. I've mentioned this to my Lexus dealer so was told to drop her in for one the engineer to check it out.
-
Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has experienced a strange sound on the rx400h. When I start the car up in the morning, ICE generally runs for 1.5 mins and then automatically shuts down. This is quite normal but on a few occasions when ICE is shutting down, I hear what sounds like a chain on a pully sound 'click click click' as the engine is turning off. I stress this sound is only happening on cold start but it doesn't happen every time. Just the odd occasions.

My only gripe with the RXh is that the engine noise doesn't sound 'luxury' (aka. droning)when you accelerate from standstill. I read somewhere that Lexus Engineers dialed in this artificial noise to give owners a sense of aural satisfaction. If this is true, it hasn't work for me. Does anyone know if this is fixed in the RX450h? Apart from that, the CVT is fantastic. very smoothhh and fast when overtakings.

Over in Australia, Lexus recommends a minimum 95 octane on our RX400h. I have always use 95 or 98.

Interesting that most feedbacks on tirerack found the Kumho Road Venture APT to be much quieter than other major brands.

Deactivate Seatbelt Chime...
aus_rx400h replied to LauraLeigh's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
Yes, it does!. Have you tried? -
Yesterday, my other half was walking back to the car with her handful of Xmas shopping, I tried to activate the electric tailgate from the driver's seat by pressing the tailgate button below the dashboard but it didn't work!. Pressed it again, and again and still nothing. Motor was running. Have I missed something? The electric tailgate does work when I'm using the remote outside the car.

Is The Gs450h A Popular Car?
aus_rx400h replied to cduluk's topic in 2013 - Present Lexus GS350 / GS350 F / GS540h
I was considering the gs450h and test drove one and even made an offer for one but I'm glad I bought the RX400H instead. The boot was just too small!!. I made a comment to the owner that there was no way you could fit one standard size travel luggage in the boot and he agreed. he said he used the backseat for bigger items and I go Hmmmmmm... Don't get me wrong, the gs450h is more updated than the pre-2010 rx400h with its keyless entry and start, more comfy seats, 3.5l motor etc... but being a one car family, it's not practical for us. -
My Latest Mileage - 32.5 Mpg (long Post)
aus_rx400h replied to jrober's topic in 04 - 09 Lexus RX330 / RX350 / RX400h
My Better Half drive conservatively and she is getting 7.3L/100km which is equivalent to 32.22mpg. I'm getting a touch higher between 7.5-8.5L which is excellent economy for the size and weight of this vehicle.
