  1. Brilliant!!. Thanks for clarifying. I just checked and I can still operate the windows after taking the key out if the door remains closed :)
  2. Dear All, Hoping someone knows the answer. I used to be able to close (or open) all windows within 30 secs after I removed the key but for some reason, this function does not work anymore. If I start the car, I can control all windows and auto-up/down is working. I have had to replaced the 12v battery a few months back and I how to reset the windows setting. Thanks in advance.
  3. Just what I need to know. Sounds like it's more complicated then I had hoped for, ie. daisy chained. I reckon it would look really special if you can make it work. I like both lamps to lid up like the Nissan GTR R35 :).
  4. Hi All, Hope I have worded this correctly. On my rx400h, I would want to rewire my LED tail light so that during day time, both sections of the tail light is lid when I hit the brake. I wonder if anyone has done this mod. Cheers.
  5. I was reading a preview of the new Toyota Prius 7 seater which uses a more advanced lithium-ion battery pack in lieu of the nickel-metal hydride unit and it says" "The technology, which is used on the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf, packs more punch in a small package - Toyota says the new lithium-ion battery pack is half the size but pushes out the same amount of power, and is seven kilograms lighter than a NiMH pack, at 34kg.Overall, the Prius V is 135kg heavier than the regular Prius hatch." I wonder if Lexus will offer a battery pack upgrade to the new lithium-ion for our RX400H. Not that they are cheap but for those who need to replace the battery, it would be nice to get the newer tech.
  6. I've noticed this behavior on mine too on the odd occasions but it does go away when I put a bit firmer pressure on the brake pedal. Once the energy stopped, u can ease off the pressure.
  7. I guess I'm being paranoid here and have switched to the spare. I found a fine hairline crack about 1cm in length starting from the lip on the inner side of the rim. It's only a fine crack and is not leaking air. Just have to stop stressing about it!..:)
  8. Dear All, I'm after one original stock Rim for my rx400h in hyper silver color, 18x7. Preferably one in good nick. I'm staying cleared of 'remanufactured' rims as seen on ebay. Does anyone want to sell me one or know where I can get one cheaply? Best regards,
  9. I'm now so disappointed that Lexus didn't include this feature in the model update. My rx400h was manufactured in Japan in Feb 2008 and exported to Australia and the mildly update model is mostly cosmetics - blue badging, blue tint headlights, blue LED-lid door sills, black wood maple on steering and centre console. I would say the system is identical to the one in the 2006> Lexus GS450h.
  10. Hi Everyone, This morning, I ended up putting on a set of Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport from my local tireshop so will see how they go over the coming weeks. From what I've read, these HPs are favourably reviewed on Tirerack and the price I got them for was too good to walk away.
  11. There is a fellow owner who didn't like the Parada-X at all. Just when I was dead set on the Ecopias, I found another new released from Toyo called Versado CUV made specially for SUVs like ours.
  12. Hi Guys, I was set to order a set of Bridgestone Dueler Alenza for my RX400h from tirerack and came across this Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia I read on http://www.sportruck.com/news/Bridgestone-Dueler-H-L-422. Can't say I've heard anyone on here running this new tire but this looks like Bridgestone has upgraded their popular Alenza.
  13. As I've tried to explain, I hear this sound when ICE is SWITCHING OFF so it is only for a second, not after, and it sounds like a chain pulley.
  14. It's summer here so morning temperature is on average 20 degree or 68 degree Fahrenheit. Actually, now that I'm keeping an ear out, I notice that I'm only getting it on the odd occasion and the only time I hear it is when i start up the car, ICE runs for a minute and then switch off. Doesn't do it every time though. I've mentioned this to my Lexus dealer so was told to drop her in for one the engineer to check it out.
