damn. thats it?! i was hoping it was bigger! =) anyways, 80 or even 100 is real small. djspawn00 do you have a link or name/brand to the alternator you have in your gs? now that i iknow its so small, it looks like i will have to upgrade, but i cant seem to find one that will fit the gs and is high output. all the ones i've found are just low amp replacements for the stocks =( thanks for the replies, finally i get this answered! :D

stock alt size (amps) ive asked this before here or on club lexus. and NO ONE ever answers. does no one really know?!

i have an 05. last time i took count i got about 250 on 16 gallons. doesnt sound so good compare to you guys'. all city dirivng though. so i guess that could be it.

i was thinking about doing this. because ive noticed this car seems to retain a lot of the bass in the trunk. i once placed my box right in the back seat, and there was a HUGE difference from when the box was closed off in the trunk. ever since i had the urge to get the bass into the cabin better. i dont know if id make that hole in the armrest. i have an 05 and unfortunately its closed off from the trunk also. other models have the opening in the armrest to the trunk. well personally, i dont try to make such big mods that i cant put back, so i wouldnt. what i just recently did (have yet to try because no system in again yet) is i removed the stock sub, hopefully that will help. removing the stock sub isnt permanent and it should definitely be of some bass improvement. you should try that before you cut that hole. i just built a custom box to fit in the trunk of my 05 gs so that itl sit on the gas tank and port through where the stock sub was. should be getting it aoll in soon and hopefully itl sound good, but i would recommend that you try taking the stock sub out first, then if you dont like itt or think you could get more bass into the cabin make that hole in the armrest.

i had same problem with mine. i moved and i tried it with "my new" garage and it worked. only thing i did differently was press the button on the motor of the garage door opener. before i was using my garage opener control and doing what the instructions said by holding both buttons on the garage door opener and the homelink in the car and it wouldnt work. not until i pressed the program button on the motor of the garage opener and then held the button on the homelink.

you cant just tap into some of the speaker wires and connect them to the led light?
