why shouldnt you turn on the engine while the OBD is connected to the car??

could be the transmitter from the key. I'd hate to say but take it to the dealer.

Auto Zone only checks OBD II not OBD I. If you want OBD I check Ebay.com, you can get one for like $20-$60. Good Luck!

Just go to your nearest Auto Zone store and they can check the Engine light for FREE!!!

why would waste your hard earned money on a new radiator if your current one is not leaking??? Your problem is one of these ---- radiator fan switch, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, or water pump.... Good Luck!

or get a GS400 and boy that V8 is fast...you will be smoking almost 60% of cars out there ...including that slow beemer..... And Again.... Horse Power sells..... Torque is what turns your wheels..... remember that.

Just because its shifting hard doesn't mean you need a whole new transmission. It could be the transmission solenoid, could be a sensor. Take it to the shop and let them diagnose it.

Please got to a professonal. Brakes would be the last thing you wanna mess with.....

Have you ever done coolant system flush?? If not do that right away, and replace you thermostat. Check the water pump and make sure its working. look at the upper and lower radiator hoses and see if they are cracked, blowted etc.... Good Luck!

did it help when you bought the OEM ABS SPEED SENSOR did the 3 lights go off The car has been totaled :o yes unfortunately, and that darn company is having hard time giving me refund, its amazing how they quickly take your money......

well first of all find out the value of the car which you can go to www.kbb.com, then look around and see how much your car's is worth by looking at some other similar postings. However, I do think it be better if you sold the car as a whole rather then parting it out. But Lexus parts are hard to find and dealer prices are outrages....so either way you I dont think you'll be disappointed. Good Luck!

they are mainly for looks, BUT they do work only if you abuse them like hard/stop driving..... however i did notice a lilttle bit decreased stopping distance also...i had them on my GS300... btw my GS300 got totaled and I might be parting it out... the cross drilled/slotted rotors along with evulotion ceramic brake pads that i have on my GS300 are only about 2 months old.... i could sell them to you if you want.

I was looking around and saw this 1998 Lexus GS400 w/193000 miles for sale. The sale price is $5000, But I'm pretty sure he is willing to go down. I was thinking of $4000. What you guys think. hahahahha 11k?? wow.... i got my lexus from the insurance auto auctions...and it was way worse then yours....the whole front frame was bent to the left.... had to , replace hood, front bumper, fender, headlights, fog lights paint, air box, and alot of other frame parts all that cost me about $2800..... hahaha no wonder insurance is soo high they get ripped off!!!!

was it your fault? plus i wouldnt call that totalled..... all you need is to fix the frame....hood, fender, front bumper ,some nice aftermarket headlights...dont know if your air box is broken or not.....also I might be parting out my lexus so you can get most of the parts from me if you want.

well i would say replace the whole gas cap.....but thats just me..i would be too lazy to do all that, if you could afford the car.... you could afford the gas cap too. Good Luck!

What do you think you're gonna get? sure thing...... the inside is very clean....the leather seats are in great condition.... carpets everything is clean.. enegine is very clean too...i'll take a picture .....also the SPARE TIRE has never been used...... its the original lexus wheel along with the original bridgestone tire that the car came with from the factory.

Well this morning the inevitable happened...... some old fool cut in my lane and I hit the brakes.....the wheels locked and I skidded down sideways for about 20-25 feet, hit a guard rail, did a 360 and stopped......ahhhh i cried and i cried!!!! well not really but i do feel sad...my lexus is totalled.... i took a few pics today...below are the links....I might be parting out my lexus..... ohh i blame all this on me....because my ABS and VSC lights were on....if I had fixed the ABS, the wheels would have never locked up...::sigh::: sucks being broke..... http://s596.photobucket.com/albums/tt49/mujee_2006/
