I remember getting a postcard from the dealer we purchased it from last spring and kind of remember a price of $275 or so. Can I get it cheaper elsewhere? I can't stand the thought of paying $300. I would love to find out how to get into contact with the $80. person or anyone else that might want to sell a copy of one they might have. Just a suggestion: while you drive around in your $40-$50,000 luxury vehicles, lets pretend for the moment that you can afford $250 and don't actually have to STEAL the intellectual property of others. The issue, I believe, is that the nav system on the Lexus 330 is sub par to begin with, and a less effective/efficient system than its competition. That's why all the brouhaha over the price. I have learned to check a real map or Google maps before hopping in the RX and depending on its nav system. A more reasonable upgrade fee from Lexus would yield greater upgrade participation, and perhaps increased revenue by capturing more of the piracy market. Any further mention of " it can be had here or i have a copy (free or otherwise) "will be banned . If you cannot afford the car and its maintance then sell it and buy one without navagation.
