Randy IS Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Ok so I just looked inside my radiator and saw green. I bought my '01 IS about 3 weeks ago. I am going to take to Lexus Tuesday because I am guessing the service dept is not open on Memorial day, otherwise I would. I have to get the system flushed obviosly and replaced with the toyota long life radiator fluid but I was wondering how much damage was done. Has anyone wrecked their cooling system/components by using the wrong stuff? I havent had any trouble, I just hope nothing was damaged. Thanks bye.
steviej Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 if the system was totally flushed out (radiator, hoses, engine block, etc) before the green stuff was put in, then you shouldn't have any problem. If it wasn't then you may have problems. When in doubt.....flush it out. Then you know it was done right from the start. steviej
