Tail Light Mod

hey guys,

i was removing the cover for my tail light after being in the oven for 9 mins at 300F and i almost had the cover off when it cracked at the end... so upset. do you know if it is possible to just get the cover and not the whole tail light? i looked on ebay and didn't find anything. it's a 92 es 300.

I don't think that you can just buy the cover separately because the taillight comes as one unit and it is not intended to be seperated.

thats stinks!you will have to buy the whole light because i dont think you can find a cover.

you have to really take your time with the tail lights because the are a bit fragile.they need alot of heat and slow prying to open them up.ebay sometimes has them but if not try the junk yard and you might get lucky.good luck

that sucks you usually need to open them slowly by heating and pying them 3 times befoer they will release fully or else they crack

ya, the passenger side cracked, but when i put the other side in the oven, i left it in longer and theat side looks fine. i did the front too and that just looks outstanding. big difference. pictures will be up very soon i promise, i just have to get her washed.
