Help! I Can't Stop The "new Topic" Notifications&#3

I went to the control panel and of course found all kinds of stuff but I didn't see anything that specifically said something to the order of "stop new topic notifications".

These are not one's I'm posting in, these are new thread notices. I don't even know why they started! :cries:

Please help! Pictures for the dumb really help, else some really good instructions! :)

look to the bottom left and click the email settings in there click the last box to uncheck it for email notifactions by default

sounds like you have subscribed to a forum - you need to unsubscribe.

click on My Controls, and look for the section in the left sidebar titled Subscriptions ;)

I hear what you guys are saying, but doggone I think I've checked that.

not checked - "Include a copy of the post when emailing me from a subscribed topic Enabling this option will send a plain text version of the post in the subscription email."

checked - "Send a confirmation email when I receive a new private message Enabling this option will send an email confirmation of any new private messages sent to you."

not checked - "Enable 'Email Notification' by default? Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to."

From Topics:

There are no subscriptions to show, try selecting a less restrictive date range

From Forums:

You are not subscribed to any forums at present

Am I on the same wavelength here??

hehehehe - yeah, my email address is the forum admin - so all the mails come from "me".

Although, I promise you I am not sitting here typing all those notifications!!!

I think I know your problem.

The issue is that you appear to be registered twice.

With the email address below, you are registered as the user BA

Your BA_GS400 username is registered at what I assume is your work email address.

In order to stop these subscriptions, you need to login as BA, and do the remove subscriptions stuff I posted ;)
