Is it okay regular gas vs premium

The owner's manual says premium. I can understand the temptation to use regular with the 20-30 cent price difference. However, if you car has over 100K miles, it probably has a fair amount of carbon buildup in the heads. Using regular will probably cause pinging. That's not good for your valves. What you might save in gas will not pay for the valve job you will soon need. Figure $1K at least. Much more at the dealer.

To cut the cost, especially here in CA with our high prices, I go to Costco or Sam's Club. The price difference is at least .30 less. Before the prices went up, it was a much as .70 less. Definitely worth the cost of the membership. A couple of fillups will cover the membership.
