Desmoface
Hello everyone, My wife is considering leasing a new ES 350 base model and we were wondering how they were in the snow being that they are front wheel drive? We live in Northeast Ohio so we get some occasional nasty winter weather. Would we need to install snow tires or are the factory all season tires sufficient. Thanks in advance.
dcfish
All season are enough, If you want more traction on ice and snow get Blizzaks or similar tires. All 4 are needed.

RX400h
I think it may depend upon the number of hills you may need to climb and what tires you select. Generally speaking, more of the snow tires achieve much better than average snow traction than do all season tires. There are some exceptions like the performance all-season Michelin CrossClimate2 and Hankook Kinergy 4s2 tires.
