Humming drice case: how do i fix the humming sound from my asle and drive case while drivng a RX 350 2008

My RX 350 2008 humms while driving, what could be the cause and how do i rectify this problem

Are you sure it's not a wheel bearing or one or more tires?

• Thanks for your reply. I have new tires, i have also checked the bearings they are all in good shape.

The noice is coming from the back asle.

Maybe worth flushing out the old oil and topping up with fresh oil to see if that makes a difference

My auto mechanic said its the transfer case, could this cause the noise i hear while driving?
