calc Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 In the N.E. New Jersey area; Secaucus, Clifton, Nutley, etc. Recommendations wanted. By the way. an operator in the car wash told me to drive through on the side track which he shouldn't have. Have I any legal recourse to have them pay?
amf1932 Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 What kind of damage was done to your car? Did you tell them about this damage immediately after the car came out of the wash? In any case, if it's worth the bother, you can take them to small claims court. Also, get an estimate of the repair cost.

Have I any legal recourse to have them pay? I have 2 awesome body shops - both in Belleville that do great work. Richie's Auto Body on Washington Avenue & NOC Automotive Solutions on Roosevelt Avenue Both shops specialize in restoring antiques, and have done great body work / paint jobs on many of my cars New & Antiques. If you have to pay out of pocket, Richie's is going to cost you a little more, but they both do equally as good of a job. --Antonio
SW03ES Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 This is why we don't take our Lexus through a car wash ;) Car wash= EVIL! Anyways if you didnt demand that he take care of the damage you're probably not going to have any recourse. I had a car damaged by a carwash on two seperate occasions (I run my Explorer though one) and each time they had no problem paying for the repair, but I told the manager as soon as I noticed it and he inspected it.
