That measurement is meaningless. You will always want to set your ride height first! Adjust your rear Camber and Toe if needed. Then on the front do the caster, camber and then the toe last. The reason for the sequence is the earlier steps will change the adjustments you do in later steps. The caster is usually just fixed because you are using a strut instead of an upper and lower control arm setup. I don't remember if the RX had adjustable lower control arms but if it does you can adjust the caster to an extent. In most cases like lifting you will want to increase your caster angle from factory specs, and if you want to get really fancy you will do your ride height settings first then a corner balance if you had something like adjustable coil overs before you do your alignment setup. Then you go back through it all again. 1
JMW256 Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 Hi everyone, I want to you my latest addition to my RX330. A custom design and fabricated prerunner bar with a skid plate. Going to add lights in the future. 3

TexLex02 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Currently in the "build process of an 02 ex 300 myself! My son and I started with the 50mm hubcentric spacer recommend earlier in this thread. Then we put some 16x8 zero offset rough country Dayton style black steel wheels on with some goodyear 265/70/16 duratrac ATs! We are now in the process of adding some 1.5 strut spacers all the way around.. crossing my fingers that this attempt to shoehorn these wheels under this rig will clear without cutting! Wish us luck!

But all and all it came out well! We get looks every where we go now! Might end up replacing the stock struts all the way around with the 2014 highlander struts that someone recommended, for more height and travel, has anyone else ever done them? Direct fit ? Or any tips? LMK! Much appreciated!

JMW256 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Great work on your project RX300. So as far as upgrading the struts you would be looking at an 08 to 2013 Highlander. This upgrade is beneficial due to raised spring perches on the struts allowing a slight lift ( about 1 inch) and improved clearance to run bigger tires. Thats the good. The bad is there is only so much room to space out the struts. Meaning that with your current spacers and attempting the Highlander struts together it wont fit! Another option is Strut spacers and stiffer coils. An ideal trial would be to do subframe spacers to effectively lower subframes and help regain some of the original geometry. Then go forward with additional spacer height. Bottom line there is only so much lift without major modification. Hope that helps!
JAWz03RX300 Posted June 24 Posted June 24 (edited) I just purchased a stock 2003 RX300 and am wanting to “beef” it up for some off road fun. Nothing crazy, just out having fun. Wanting to go bigger tires, wheels, possibly suspension upgrades, and anything else that would make it fun and cool looking for my sons and I. We are going to do this together. We are going to do this together. Go with 2008-2012 highlander struts. It'll give you some tire room and you wont have to get wheel spacers or new wheel right away. Plus it like 1.75 inches of lift, dont go over 2.5" without making subframe spacers because of cv angles
Gurii666 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 hello i have lexus 2003 rx300 i want to put jeep tires somebody sale tires it has 5x5 bolt pattern so is it fit on my car or i need spacer to install that tires?

I'm from the Bahamas with a Japanese version, went with bigger tires with 2" spacers all around and it kind of helps but still trying to get a lift that i dont have to make crazy upgrades. So the 08-12 highlander struts will fit directly?? Do i have to make any adjustments?

Some people use the rx300 sturt mounts on the highlander struts or a little bit of drilling/trimming will be needed. I'm planning on putting my ser in soon, I also just got my camber bolts finally so i can adjust that when im done with the installation

It has so much more room than before. I'm stoked I won't have to listen to the rocks that get stuck in my tread hit those old spring perches anymore. Tomorrow im planning on getting the front done

craw Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I got an 8 bolt camber kit, 4 front/4 rear should i have the tabs pointing in on both upper and lower bolts for both sides till i get it adjusted? Anybody have a diagram?
craw Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I got the front 40mm spacers in. Now I need to find a nice flat spot to adjust the camber. Those 235/70r16 Nokian outposts dont look very big anymore, they might just become winter tires. Has anyone tried taking the back sway bar links and using them up front? They look like they might just fit

But here's my lifted RX330. 2.5" suspension lift, .5" strut spacers (not spring spacers) in front, 1" strut spacers in rear, 2012 sport highlander rear struts give me an extra 1.25" of lift and that much more tire clearance (can fit 265/65R17 tires), king spring lift springs front and back, 245/65r17 bfg K02's, full thule cargo basket with 6 rigid flood lights, and two light bars in the front all of which are connected to an auxiliary yellow top battery hidden in the back and controlled by Tacoma fog lamp switches in the front, topped off with Method Racing wheels, 8.5" wide with a 0mm offset. Love the look! Are you still on this thread? I’d love to replicate your configuration but need a bit more detail. Like how did you achieve the 2.5” suspension lift.
