danp007 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I have a 1997 ES 300, and when I am going 40-45 and let off, I get this jerking around from the transmition. This mainly occurs in traffic when I cannot keep my foot on the gas. As soon as I accelerate it goes away, but everytime I let off going slow, it is jerking me back and forth like it cannot decide to downshift. Do any of you know a fix for this? Any suggestions are much appreciated!
steviej Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 as was mentioned in the other thread that you posted this in, this seems more engine related than tranny related. maybe a dirty throttle body or a sticky trottle position sensor. steviej please, in the future, don't double post as it gets very confusing.

Sorry. I cannot figure out how to get to my current posts and navigate the forum yet.
NeiLtYmE Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 it might not even be a problem, if its like that in traffic... those are speeds where you go between 3rd and 4th... so its hard to tell ... depends on how bad the jerks are... if there just gradual gear change... you may not even have a problem
