Band Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 The tabs that lift up to move the cross bars on my roof rack lift to about a 45 degree angle and no more and consequently they do not disengage. I believe they should lift further to disengage, but I am afraid of breaking the tabs off. All four tabs behave in the same manner. What am I not doing right?

Probably hadn't been moved since the car was new. Thanks!

WD-40 is not a general purpose lubricant but primarily a "W-ater D-isplacing" solvent for removing rust and grime. It also can cause nasty stains - NEVER use in a car interior.
