1999 Ls400, How Do You Replace Acceleration Pedal Positioning Sensor

Does anybody have a picture of the part (acceleration pedal positioning sensor) and replacement instruction? I have been searching older posts but to no avail. If you have the part number, that would be appreciated as well.

I posted a PDF that might help in the following thread which I found by searching: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/69501-unresponsive-gas-pedal-2000-ls-400/?hl=throttle#entry434119

You can get the part number at http://lexus.sewellparts.com/ If you want to buy it from Sewell, be sure to register with your forum user name to get discounts.

First of all, thank you sir for the pdf. Followed instruction and tested all part in question with multi meter and they all appear in working condition. however, after hooking up everything, CEL and VSC off indicators still on. reseted CEL by disconnecting battery and cleared my OBD2 reading. reconnected battery cable after 15 min then started car, CEL/VSC lights still on, but this time OBD2 scan read P0115 error which I believe is the coolant temp sensor. But the APPS error code disappeared and I am now able to accelerate upon depressing gas pedal. Idle however is very rough and real low, which (correct me if I'm wrong) is related to the defective coolant sensor or bad wiring connection. I'm hoping to find some insights about this matter, thank you!

Thanks for the link steve2006. It appears that I forgot to plug the coolant sensor after disconnecting it to have access and troubleshoot the accelerator pedal pos sensor. The car has been running great since. I must add, in addition to checking the sensors, I applied dielectric grease on the connectors. Had to invest on a code scanner/reader, sure beats paying $$$ for parts and diagnostics. Thanks y'all!

P.S.

I broke the locking tab on one of the connectors but still does its work. Any idea if these connectors are replaceable? or just leave it as it is and secure with an electrical tape. seems to work just fine.

The connectors are normally part of the complete wiring loom, you could find one off a breaker but then you have to make more joints.

If you can fit a nylon zip/cable tie these will hold things together or use some PTFE self amalgamating tape.
