Right hand side mirror swings to the front and stops. I can return it to the proper position, but upon restart it swings out completely to the front of the car. Fix??

Welcome to the Club.

Fix is probably a new motor or controler. May be able to get the needed part on ebay or online salvage yard.

I dont completely follow you, take a photo of it, "completely to the front of the car.". and I will rack my brain to see if we can help.. I have 2 99's, but I cant "see" that..

So can you put the switch in the completely stowed (all the way back position) then physically move the mirror to the back position and retry?

Billy: My profile is wrong. I guess I did not update correctly. I sold my '99 and bought a 04 LS430. Sorry I led you to believe it is on a '99. However it is a nagging problem. Any help would be appreciated. You are communicating with a brother ><>.

Apparently there is a known problem with the LS430 mirrors in that the limit switches fail ( these stop the motor when the mirror is either in the fully out position/driving position or when it is folded in).

These are not available as a spare part, the whole mirror needs replacing.

If you don't need to fold your mirrors disconnecting the motor drive wire would be the cheapest option.
