CatKing Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 hi all, what brand of amp. do you have installed in your vehicle or any recommendation please. thanks.
JdSuperpimp69 Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Depends, you looking to power some subs, or mids and highs??? US amps makes good sub speakers, take a look at their DE line. Jl audio makes really good monoblock (subwoofer) amps. Zapco has an excellent line of amps for mids and highs.
CatKing Posted March 20, 2004 Author Posted March 20, 2004 hi, thanks for your reply. i'm going to install a jl audio amp, mb quardref 10"sub and alpine spx-177a front speaker. any advice please?
93LSOwner Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 I have seen and heard that MTX systems are very nice too.
93LSOwner Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 This link should do the trick: http://www.circuitcity.com/verity_search.j...TX&qp=0&c=1&b=g "system" I don't know what you guys call it but around here, "Hey do you have a system in your car?" means, "Hey do you have Subs and amp in your car?"
SPORTcoupe300 Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 I prefer Rockford Fosgate because they are very reasonable on prices and make some good quality audio equipment.
SKperformance Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 I have MC Intosh audio equipment all around. It is hands down the best but also not the cheapset or easiest to find in Toronto as there are only 2 dealers in the GTA. MTX is garbage the other stuff mentioned is ok i would leave the front speakers alone unless you are going to change all the speakers and add a new amp just for them as the stock one will be crap with aftermarket speakers. Just buy a sub with a box and an amp. Best way to go. The JL's are nice speakers so are tehre amps but the amps aren't the best. Got to Kennedy hi fi (KHF)in scarborough they do amazing work where you can leave your car and never worry about them breaking something.
