Power Steering Cap

My cap has nothing which tells me whether I am low on fluid. All it has is Hot stamped in on one side and Cold on the other.

How in the world to I tell if I am low?

The fluid level should be between the two marks.

the side with HOT mark is for the warmed up engine, so when the engine is hot check between the bars on the hot side and check the cold side otherwise.

I also agree with the above posts. another way is to check in your owners manual it has the diagram to tell you where the fluid levels should be in reference to the engine being hot or cold.
