Heater Controls - No Lights

Recommended Posts

Half the illumination on my 1998 GS300 heater controls isn't working. It seems the only way to get the lights on the switches to work again is to replace the entire heater control unit? Can the bulbs be replaced inside the unit?

The cost of the entire unit is over $600 and I don't want to spend that just because the switches aren't lit up at night.

Anyone have any experience with this??

I have found used heater control units on ebay for around $200.00. From what I can see there is no way to fix the illumination, it's a single part and the tiny LED's must be inside of it with no way to remove the switches etc... and replace individual lamps.

Yes, the light can be replace within the heater unit. I did switch all my oem lights in the heatunit to blue. Let know if you need help.

Thanks, yes. How would all the LED's on all the switches be changed out? BTW, my temp control unit works just fine it's already been replaced once it is just the LED's on the individual switches (half of them) that do not illuminate.

Thanks
