  1. Thanks, yes. How would all the LED's on all the switches be changed out? BTW, my temp control unit works just fine it's already been replaced once it is just the LED's on the individual switches (half of them) that do not illuminate. Thanks
  2. It's great to see others with 1998 vehicles and high mileage. I have a 1998 GS300 with 202,000 miles on it, purchased it as a certified used vehicle in 2001 and have never looked back. It runs like brand new, but I have invested a ton of money in the last few years on repairs and keeping it in tip-top condition. All the engine seals, water pump, AC compressor, condenser, and now I have to do the bank 2 cat. To me, it is well worth it as many people think the car is only a few years old - nobody ever guesses it is actually 15 years now!!!
  3. I have found used heater control units on ebay for around $200.00. From what I can see there is no way to fix the illumination, it's a single part and the tiny LED's must be inside of it with no way to remove the switches etc... and replace individual lamps.
  4. Half the illumination on my 1998 GS300 heater controls isn't working. It seems the only way to get the lights on the switches to work again is to replace the entire heater control unit? Can the bulbs be replaced inside the unit? The cost of the entire unit is over $600 and I don't want to spend that just because the switches aren't lit up at night. Anyone have any experience with this??
  5. Same thing happened to me, it is a fault indicating a bad compressor. When this happened I had to change mine out.
  6. How much are they? Thanks Hello, I have a 1998 GS300 with the Pioneer radio - same problem burned out display, but also some of the buttons stick and the power knob came off. I've seen used units on ebay for about $299 - can this be fixed or am I better off just buying a whole new unit? Thanks much! scott802@yahoo.com
