eugene.s Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 (truly hope moderators will allow this thread, as it's designed to help others) Would it help the community to know websites from which you can buy compatible spare parts at prices below the official Lexus dealers' ones? If so, share your experience. Names cited below are delivered from this forum and online search: NB: Entertain this at your own risk; no-one guarantees that third-parties' proposal are better than of Lexus dealers. NB 1: Be aware, I've not purchased anything yet from the sites listed in this post, just searched for this forum and the web for where to buy from. NB 2: I would hope users will provide views on experience for this or that website/seller (and add more to my list), and we all could review it critically (rather than emotionally) and develop guidelines for selves. 1. Websites helping to identify the spare part you need (by looking at graphs, etc.): http://www.toyodiy.com - I've found it as a most helpful one http://lexus.sewellparts.com 2. Websites to purchase from: *1: Check websites from (1) above for what you need. They should quote prices. Contact you dealer to know their price and chase them for a discount (dont expect more than a 20% discount at max) *2: Spare parts search is different for each website. One site can give you "42603-60520" as your spare part. Another can ignore the dash ("4260360520"). Another require a space instead of a dash ("42603 60520") http://www.amazon.com/ http://www.ebay.com/ http://www.rockauto.com http://www.autozone.com/autozone/ http://www.napaonline.com http://shop.advanceautoparts.com
eugene.s Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Was this post helpful to anyone? I can continue posting or will drop it if no indication of interest
clspruiell Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 YES! Very helpful. I'm looking for a decent price on tan arm rests for my GX470. Thanks!
lenore Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 There is also Sewell Lexus.com and if you join Club Lexus they give you a discount. PartsGeek.com also for mechanical parts. Great list above, have used most of them.
eugene.s Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 Anyone tried to purchase from http://www.wheelsrims.net/ or http://www.wheels-and-rims.com/? Wrote to support of the former one but my request bounced back, having been redirected to the latter site. Got suspicious if those might be fraudulent. Pls let me know if you had any experience with them.
